I can tell you that the likes of samsung can deliver a software project from concept to general release in around 8 weeks depending on priority.
Having worked in software dev for a major mobile vendor, i'd say i'm pretty well placed to make that comment.

Sony is fast approaching. They already have the midrange, soon the high-end. Very soon. Phablet and tablet, leave that to ZU and tabZ.

All these specs mean nothing until unless the phone has a minimum of 3000 mAh battery or more.

Sadly it will take ages to reach my country (Peru), although, if it's not so expensive I could buy it from Ebay, otherwise I'd prefer the Lenovo K900.
Btw, yeah, with 4K video recording this one must come with at least 32gb of internal and 64 to 128 gb of external storage, otherwise 4K will be only for short clips which will really make laugh Sony detractors.
For screen an Amoled IPS would be the best. Deep blacks are very highly appreciated and pursued even in the TV field. And the supposed over saturated colors is something relative to the eye of the viewer and only differentiable when comparing to other screen with a bit less saturation, whereas what is real are the deep blacks, high contrast the amoled has.

Second, on Pureview cameras, few pixels are merged into One Huge Pixel. We all know, Sony does not have this technology! And, i can say - Cyber-shot have not chances!

the 20mpx are for the ability to zoom without loss of detail; the image also has a new processing algorithm - camera wise this phone will be amazing and the pictures will be great.
To me the only problem is the horrible design and too much bezel on the sides of the screen.

Secondly yes Samsung and Crapple switched to Sony camera. S1 and S2 used Samsung camera however and all other models around and before. And they were generally better. Even using Sony's camera now Samsung makes it work better in their devices still.
Same with Crapple.

My iphone 4 camera is better than nokia's phone for example :nokia n8...sony camera is the best in the market.
SONY dont need to fight with nokia ...nokia must fight with sony..
Galaxy s4 camera is made by sony
Iphone 5 camera is made by sony

I'm loving these Screen Shots! Always a fan of Sony minimalistic look.
Honami looks like a beast already.
It seems Sony will follow the Nokia route regarding Camera.
- 20 Mpx might use the Pureview Phase1 tech of Oversampling. Honestly I don't mind if the produce oversampling the 20 Mpx to make a high quality 4 Mpx picture. Not sure how it's gonna be different from Pureview. But it'll be interesting to see.
- The XPeria Camera add-ons. Sounds a lot like Nokia Lenses.
- Augmented REality app seems like the NOkia Here CIty Lens. Though it's not the first Augmented Reality app around.
I'm very excited for Honami nevertheless. Hope we'll see some announcement real soon.
