T606 and 4gb may seem a joke. But it works. Was surprised myself buying ofnofnthose cheapo tablet t606 4gb. Well sure open more than 4 tabs and it crashes without warning but still, it was usable, not so much laggy ( I had far worse experience with more powerful Exynos...)
Anyway don't expect to last long, I think will rapidly become obsolete as lazy web programmer or ai trendy stuff or whatever need more power)memory.

G04 is at the moment the cheapest phone that "is new, with anything above Android 11 and more than 2gb of ram"
But guess for euro users the price difference is less massive than in some other countries.

Invetor, 25 May 2024unisoc T606? well that's much better than HMD ig...The Nokia G11 Plus was the first stock Android phone in this database to feature that chipset, so not a bad chipset of choice for a sub-$100 phone.

MindTheGap, 26 May 2024T606 shouldn't be priced above $80 anyways.The same set of specs are available from Nokia with the G11 Plus at $70, minus the punch hole.
The only thing worth considering about this phone is the punch hole, but it's atrociously priced here in our region to begin with.

But if you look closer, T606 has 2x performance core (Cortex-A75), while G36 doesn't have one. So it makes sense if T606 is faster than G36, even though T606 has lower clockspeed.

In the end, I got it at launch wih nearly 200 euro off (because Samsung rewards), traded in my old phone (another 150 euro less) and it went via the company so tax free for me.
And above that, my bank gives special coupons each year for Samsung S series when they lunch, so that was 7% off above everything.

I have a cheap health insurance and that is 159 euro a month.
My rent is pretty cheap too at just 550 euro for a small 46m2 appartement.
But the moment my partner would get a job we get kicked out of that apparently, they are that cheap due to governmental rules and are meant for people with smaller income, we would end up in private sector and even a silly room of 10m2 would cost way over 800 euro because private sector.
Food is something we try to balance cheap but healthy enough (veggies are expensive here, meat too), for two of us that is 350 euro a month for food, by comparison average per month for 2 people here is above 450 euro for food.
And the list is longer than that, traveling to work does cost me around 330 euro a month after I take away the 180 euro I get from my work that covers my travels partly.
Then sim only, we have a 10gb bundle and that is 15 euro a month times two, because you can't go cheaper here.
Then home internet, slower 100/100 connection is around 50 euro a month.
And don't get me started about extra health cost, because not everything is covered by insurance.
So no, life is actually expensive here.

75 euro here for the G04 and 99 euro for Redmi A3.
But I would say skip both in my country, Galaxy A15 is 118 euro and it's a better deal with 3 OS upgrades and 4 years of security patches.
Anyhow people on this comment section call all these devices ewaste, they would be surprised how many people out there walk with a very old phone or something below 200 euro.
Even in my country where minimum wage is above 1900 euro a month, expensive phones are for the rich or kids that still live at their parents house, which causes them to have less bills and be able to afford a 70 euro per month phone subscription with the newest iphone or samsung phone.

I have the G04 as a secondary phone for work, got it unlocked for 68 euro new.
Is it slow? Sure, my S24 is faster
But is it slow for the price? No if new only, unless we look at some old used phones (LG G8 is around 70 euro used here)
And I mean it's not like the second best option is worth it, Xiaomi Redmi A3 64gb/3gb starts at 89 euro, so I rather have the g04 which in my country doesn't come with much bloatware (only facebook app that can be removed) and in my region it has NFC that the A3 is lacking.
Also weirdly the g36 is faster on paper but A3 feels even less snappy than the already "okayish" G04.
