Regedit, 01 Jul 2013Does Nokia Maps bring in additional revenue? i am afraid, N... moreActually it did it, you see Nokia has a partnership with many stores and special locations for publicity. Also they receive additional money for researching and developing GPS tools. You can google all that.
But they receive profits in Nokia Maps and their new HERE City Lens, HERE Drive and HERE Maps+.

Absolutely no, in fact Nokia maps are in... moreDoes Nokia Maps bring in additional revenue? i am afraid, No.
When it comes to business, revenue, market share, profit/loss matters. No one is in better position to understand this than Nokia.

That would be a sick combo! So much potential and so many brilliant people working there, but they obviously have a few retarded ones who make the biggest decisions to ruin everything else.

If Nokia released a slim pureview android with amoled it would change the the mobile history forever just like the first iphone. Most android users where once symbina/nokia users. My old N95 is still better than many phones released today.

AnonD-4697, 01 Jul 2013Theres is restrictions. Google dont want to toss their maps... morejust like samsung takes the android stock camera and modifies it with many, many features, plus they add all that touchwiz modifications... my point is, they can do the same with the maps. they can just add their maps (nokia here maps) instead of google maps... android is an open source OS. they can modify it to their choice/like.

Anonymous, 01 Jul 2013But Nokia maps have lesser coverage than Google map.not really. nokia maps even has public transportation maps integrated. more functionality and features than google maps. plus it is updated more frequently than google maps, like someone already said.

Back in the day Nokia and Microsoft have shared many good days with some amazing products but as windows phone declined in competition with android and iOS Nokia lost its throne ! They should move to android before its too late or bring some new twist to windows phone OS ! The metro UI is one of the main reasons windows phone is failing ! Nokia makes great devices but OS is more important for it to shine now. I bet if nokia adopts android Samsung will face some serious competition ! They need to change their lumia line up too ! Lumia is outdated.

Still think that Nokia has the best hardware, even better than apple. It's not as stylish but specs and reliability is better. If they go Amdroid, arguably the bets OS, it would probly sell like crazy.

no way, they abandoned meego...no point fr android...not now when things r looking encouraging.if they r not having market share, thats due to late policies of ms regarding sum deal breakers.e.g.no file manager,no 1080p ,fm radio,no cracks and app relating roots(yes, they r craze over android, why pay for nfs when u can get its crack for free),all of which r expected in upcoming update except d crack thing....nokia just need these features to put in their trump card eos,so they r waiting,i hope.

AnonD-160957, 01 Jul 2013This analyst is not doing his job to explain the reason. I ... moreAnalyst don't necessarily solve someone else problem, they are just their to interpret. Its Nokia's problem, it's up to them to respond.
