i don't know why they prefer the bland s40 instead of symbian.
featurephones are dying, and since windowsphone OS is similar to featurephone, i think it will follow its step too.

Nokia is playing a game of emotions and loyalty between past colleagues, that's not the way business should be conducted. Very unrealistic business model.

Nokia should adopt android. After that he can increase its asha phones sale also. See samsung how he increasing his rex series after android success. I know Asha is better than rex but nokia should play with mind other than heart. One news i saw in times of india that Microsoft want to buy nokia but nokia refuse. If other companies like sony, Htc can use both os then Y nokia can't use both os?

It's a bit sad how only a few companies dominate the handset market. I'd like to try Windows Phone OS, it looks interesting. Nokia just needs to make a more compact phone. They are all too wide, thick, and heavy.

Android is king of "force close", Nokia doesn't want that. They don't want another Symbian that is buggy and laggy. Windows Phone 8 is the opposite of that, which is lag-free, extremely reliable, and never hang. Only other OS that could match WP8 in smoothness and stability is iOS.

Or here's an idea: Nokia could develop its own unique distinctive Linux based operating system with an innovative user interface that is capable of running Android apps so it retains its market distinctiveness but gets the benefit of the massive Android eco system. That sounds like a good strategy. Mmmm. Hope the ship has not sailed on that one yet.

WP Mobile can do wonders but does it sell? That's all investors are worried about. They don't care what the product does as long as it makes them money.

Why now ? It can be too late, they should do it when trojan horse took over Nokia. If Samsung, HTC and Huawei can make phones with Android and WP why Nokia could not do it with Android and WP or WP and Maemo ?
