Phone Link will let you copy text from Android photos

Too bad that Phone Link is garbage, it still saves photos in random resolution, causes random battery drains on both Android (25%) and PC (starts spinning my laptop fans around 2AM, WTF is it doing there?). Gave it a second chance recently, once again a mistake

    I think it won't work with the languages which have unicode characters. Just like I cannot use these characters as my nickname in this page.

I guess, it's just Microsoft's odd way to try to create something that appears to be uniformity in Windows; that you have to see where you drop things.

              Zendroid, 28 May 2024Google translate has been able to do it for ages already. Like the story says, the Microsoft Snipping Tool (and Office) has been able to do that since the dawn of time, too. This is just an integration in the Phone Link app on Windows.

                Just bring back the Scan Text option to GBoard, for god shake.

                It was in my Fold 4 for around two weeks and replaced by a feedback button (seriously?).

                  Google translate has been able to do it for ages already.

                    Phone link is awesome.
                    Much better than airdrop and the "Apple ecosystem".

                      Small extra feature but still really useful and I'll actually use it quite a lot. I just wished it supported drag and drop from the pc to the phone without having to cast the screen from the phone to the pc.
