29 May 2024
It has no apps but a ton of built-in games and "eejie" creatures.

Why would you want a smartwatch for the kids in the first place and when we agree to those lengthy terms and conditions, why not to expect data collection of any sort?

So many angry posters but how many are saying "for my kids"?
There is a population of people that this product would server and if the feature set and battery life live up to projections, would server very well!
An LTE enabled smart watch helps parents who are not able to walk there kids to and from school, or make it from activity to activity without handing them a full fledged smartphone.
The true products in this space have been the AppleWatchSE with Cellular and the Gizmo smartwatch. Both have plenty of pros and cons to speak of. Another competitor in this space and if FitBit and Google are behind the engineering... proven companies in this realm of fitness trackers and smartwatches, I am here for it!

LosEstupido, 30 May 2024DAMN those bezels. Really Funny how This thing is priced... moreI mean, it's a kids watch so.....yeah

nice, i love rugged basic GPS PhoneWatch, not health tracker.
maybe Casio G-Shock could produce competitor

Look ma, another brick for small children hands.

Get back to me when they produce something comparable with Amazfit Bip (max 10mm thick) me and my kids wear.

The battery will not last 16 hours, i can bet on this.
I have tried multiple watched with LTE for my kid and none of them lasted more than 7 hours, worse being the the galaxy watch 4 lte (lasts around 5 hours). I had to buy an apple watch series 7 to something that you can rely on, that watch lasts at least from 8am until next day lunch time easily. I am not a fan of apple, but this is the reality unfortunately

As if it wasn't already enough that parents give their children tablets and smartphones so that they don't have to deal with their children themselves and the children become totally stupid and completely antisocial social zombies due to the antisocial platforms and excessive gaming, they are now being shat upon with pointless smartwatches at the toddler stage. And suddenly everyone is wondering about the lack of cohesion in society. I can only laugh my head off.

"giving families peace of mind with reliable calling, messaging, and location sharing with parents", Google says.

Kindly suggest me some alternatives out there that does this too.
Cant's the other SmartWatch 4G/LTE does the same?

but i like how Google has reduced the Functions and Features here to allow it's intended purpose, good enough for a Basic SmartWatch , for kids and even Adults.

I just not keen of those Exercise and Hearbeat Tracking SmartWatch, to me they are meaningless. I need an alternative.

                              DAMN those bezels.

Really Funny how This thing is priced similarly to the Apple Watch SE and Oneplus Watch 2.

Pay 230 and bills after that? No thanks.

battery "that lasts more than 16 hours"

Does it run Wear OS instead of Fitbit OS? It is quite low, especially for a kid device. Anyway, they can keep it regardless - after owning a Charge 5 for 1 year, I am staying away from that horrible, unintuitive UI of Fitbit. How on Earth I cannot use the timer to track my breaks at the gym while an workout is running - I had to choose either timer or workout tracking!? Not to mention the 10 steps it takes to pay with that device - it was faster to just take my phone (or even my wallet) out of the pocket..

                                    Biggest scam of a smartwatch.

Google buying Fitbit reminds me of Apple buying Beats...

$230 is almost enough to get the new OnePlus watch, which destroys this in every way possible
