          ATM there's limited support for x86 software and no info about power efficiency on battery.

The 8000 series is not a successor to the 7000 series and is not a mainline series for AMD. These parts have reduced cache and lower power design. They are essentially the laptop chips for the desktop AM5 socket.

                    The naming scheme is confusing as always. 5800XT, but it's for a CPU? Why is the 5900XT not called a 5940? Why does the 370 have the HX but not the 365?

                    Anyways, these look like really good processors for desktops and laptops. I'm happy to see improvements in the CPU, GPU, and NPU spaces, but worry this will be wasted on Microsoft's first party spyware (Recall). What I'd really like to see is third party apps properly utilizing the NPUs.

                      Looks interesting. The 50 TOPs is a bit vague. "Based on system configuration". Which would imply that is the total TOPs of the system, not just the NPU. Intel's upcoming processor is already leaked to be able to deliver 100 TOPs if the whole system is used.

                        Literally is about to become the M1 moment at Windows: the most efficient option, and is still cheaper than the next best thing. Literally is going to be huge for both users AND the OEMs.

                          Amd has now stepped up and is making the x86_64 chips great again taking the spot from qualcom and apple and arm.

                                Alright Ngl their cpu are great but they are more on expensive side now.
                                ryzen 5 7600 build is 2x expensive than i5 build.
                                Entry leven a620 mobo cost like i5 processor.
                                And the bad thing is they dont release ryzen 3 series also.
                                So amd is bad now compared to their am4 cpu when they were competitive on price.

                                  Pretty sure the most important of the bunch, the Ryzen 7 and Ryzen 5 would be slower than the Intel counterparts in productivity. Good thing that AMD CPUs are efficient af otherwise there'd be no reason to buy these. The 3D V-cache tech would be their get out of jail free card by offering immense gaming performance at low power needs (compared to Intel) and their Ryzen 9 chips would be great for marketing.

                                  Seems like we have to wait one more generation to see AMD making strides again in the mid range. I've seen so many people go from consistently choosing AMD to going back to Intel because the midrange isn't as compelling for AMD anymore. Not to mention the lack of a Ryzen 3 series.

                                    Completely awful name scheme for the laptop CPUs. I'm very excited for the AMD Strix Halo, though, having a CPU with an iGPU faster than current-gen consoles for a fraction of their power output is amazing.
