Wow great! A mindless specification war thanks to benchmarks is the last thing we need in the car industry right now!
Now wait for the car manufactures to jack up the price on a yearly basis ,just like the smartphone companies do (ex:Apple and many others), just because they used the XYZ chip version 1/2/3 which is a little bit 'faster' than last year....
This type of lunacy was prevented from entering th3 car industry for this long thanks to the complexity of ICE cars and the mechanical knowledge needed to understand them, let alone work on them, so the industry was reserved for the professionals and enthusiasts.
Now, with the applianci-fication of vehicles by EVs, every tom, dick and Harry has junked onto them,to pull the same dumb stunts they do in the mobile phone industry....
What a shame! :(

bunyip22, 04 Jun 2024It actually makes sense. I've driven cars in the past ... moreIt like smart TVs. You spend so much but the manufacturer uses a very cheap processor and a low amount of ram that you are forced to buy an external streaming device. It defeats the purpose of a smart TV.

But when you start using it is slow and laggy. This benchmark should be applicable to all new cars. It might force manufacturers to improve the specs on their infotainment.

Very useless cars. Too little difference in economy and long charge time. Gas cars are the best unless you are a car hater or prefer boring driving.

Oh FFS: AnTuTu is a waste of time for phones, why would anyone care about it for cars? Hopefully we won't get bollocks like car manufacturers programming special "benchmark modes" to manipulate scores, but the best way to avoid that is if nobody ever reports on this thing.
