Sony's phone division is just an afterthought in their portfolio. In their minds I'm sure they are competing with Samsung but in reality they barely exist.

Anonymous, 04 Jun 2024Can't see any reason for this to be exclusive to India... moreUnless you are a huge advocate for Desktop Mode capability like me, there's literally no reason to go for the Samsung.

And Xiaomi is not innocent being one of the "founders" of cheaper sub-brands trends.

Does it have any IP rating? And what about the USB-C version?

justasmile, 04 Jun 202413t pro is pretty much that answer.T series are too big. There are so many 6.67 inch and above by Xiaomi. Xiaomi only has Xiaomi 14 which has quite small size in hand for 2024 lineup at this moment.

The only Xiaomi phone with a flagship-level selfie camera. They recycled the low-end 20MP module on their 13T, which is why I returned it. I hope the Civi gets a global launch. With the right price, this could become a true flagship killer.

The Civi 4 pro is a big improvement on last year's Civi 3 in China. The only real negative in China is the price is a bit expensive for the specs on offer. Not too familiar with pricing in India though so will be interesting to see if they price it more aggressively in India. Would have been a nearly ideal camera focused midranger if they added a 3x telephoto with OIS instead of the 2x one. This wouldn't have added much to the price but I guess they didn't want to step on the toes of the Xiaomi 14

Can't see any reason for this to be exclusive to India market only. This can easily be Xiaomi's answer to the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE.
