Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 and Honor Magic V3 rumored to land in July

I don't care if Xiaomi or Honor release the "best" foldable if they didn't release them world wide. Xiaomi did the mistake by releasing their phones in china only while Honor released the V2 in Europe too, but 8 months after the release and with a price tag of 1.700€ in Germany.

Think it would be easier to sell them latest 1-2 months after the release in china and with a pricetag of 1.500€.

Someone else will say it's the Vivo. Owning foldables is not just about specs. It's about the total experience. Last year Oppo outsold Samsung in the 1st quarter. So, where does that leave us? This is going to happen every year because the bulk of Sam's sales do not come in the following year. The Z fold sold 3-4 million. The V2 sold about 1 million. Even if they sold 1 million more, it would still be less than Samsung. They can take credit for increasing their sales, but they have not outsold Samsung.

    This July, Samsung, Honor and Xiaomi will be releasing their devices and I'm certain Honor's device will be available globally. If they outsell them from July through December, then it's a big deal.

Also every single reviewer that has ever touched both devices unanimously crowned the v2 the champion and I repeat, outselling Samsung (a vastly larger company for billions more in r&d and revenue) in a quarter is MASSIVE for such a small company. ESPECIALLY in a region like Western Europe. would you say McDonald's has the superior beef compared to A5 wagyu steak from a Michelan star restaurant because they sell more? Quality over quantity every damn day ;).

I repeat, Samsung sold the most foldables in 2023. Outselling Samsung in a quarter, month, day or hour doesn't mean anything. The majority of Z sales does not come in January or the 1st quarter of the following year. It comes during the release. They haven't even outsold the Mate X3/X5 so how are they outselling Samsung? C'mon now.

        When people come into reddit and ask about buying a Z5, we tell them to wait for the Z6. That's been going on since January. The V2 would need to sell about 2-3 million more phones before they come anywhere near the Z's sales and I'm just talking about the Fold.

        All Honor is doing right now is getting uncontested shots at the end of a blowout basketball they are losing by 40 pts.

          I hope Honor releases the international model of the V3 right away this time instead of 6 months after China as they did with the V2.

            The Mix Fold 3 is my daily driver and I love it, but even with EliteRom, a debloated HyperOS, it still struggles a bit, with an Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. It doesn't feel as smooth as a Fold 4.

                              Manufacturers need to bring back 16:10 ratio for the outer screen. That would make the perfect foldable.
