              OnePlus is behind others it comes to cameras. If they are still a flagship killer, they should be using top of the line camera sensors. At one point they did. OnePlus 8 Pro was their best flagship.

                I tried an S24 next to an iPhone in a shop, and to my shock the S24 scrolled smoother.

                          OnePlus really needs to improve their photo and video game. Just pasting Hasselblad on top doesn't cut it anymore.

                          OP12 camera performance is leagues behind of Find 7 Ultra, Vivo X100 Pro/Ultra or even Xiaomi 14 Ultra.

                          OnePlus has the resources as a BBK division to improve substantially the camera performance. Whether they choose to do it, well it remains to be seen.

                                    Enough with the cameras. iPhone has iOS. Samsung has GoodLock customization. Huawei has HarmonyOS NEXT. What does OnePlus bring to the table that others do not?

                                      unless the new telephoto is an IMX890 or LYT-700, the change would be a downgrade. The UW cam could go to an LYT-600 and match up the processing of the Oppo Find X7 Ultra, like using the Hypertone partnership, that's pretty awesome I'd say. The best new addition would be a close focusing telephoto, if they use an LYT-600 and have a close focusing telephoto then it'd have been a worthwhile change I'd say.

                                      I honestly can't complain too much about the current Oneplus 12, the main sensor could use a 50 MP omnivision 1/1.3" one like on the Xiaomi 14 or the IQOO 12 and that's about it, can't ask more for the price.

                                      So a close focusing telephoto and a larger main cam. The selfie should use a binning technique but if the Ultra phones don't do it then can't expect too much from OP and that's is, if the price is constant it'd be a great upgrade.
