They (oppo) only do that for improving camera & targetting Vivo V Series (V30) in the price segment. Probably getting rid of 7050 bought by them in heavy stock. But Expected was 7 Gen 3 in a Pro+ to keep up with V30. If Realme P1 & 12+ offers same in half price, why would anyone buy ??

They only add to the manufacturing cost, end retail price, and repair costs. They could have put in a normal flat display and sold the device as a whole cheaper, or retained the same priced and added something else to the specs.

More garbage.
Weak SoC, only one usable back camera, low res selfie camera, only a single speaker. Plus probably no headphone jack or microSD.
