Why would they even rebrand those processors in the first place, and they can't be considered true "successors" to the older variants at least? Those are incredibly juvenile decisions for large-scale companies imho.

How horrible is oppo using dimensity 1080.
9200+ ALL THE WAY DOWN TO 1080???
The 7300 has 2 extra A78 cores, still not a 9200+

So the China Reno12 series got a much faster chipset, while the Global version got a much slower chipset. This is baffling.

Also, it wouldn't make much sense to port an older architecture (based on A78) to a new node (N4P) just for a low-end chip. All N4P based chips so far (whether from Qualcomm or Mediatek) use cortex X3/A715 or newer.
I am not saying I can't be wrong, but I will need direct evidence from official sources to believe that N4P is being used here.

It doesn't mean all processors will be upgraded. For example, we still have new processors being launched on N6 node in 2024 (and will continue to be launched for some time).
Mediatek refers to the N4P node as "2nd gen 4nm technology" in its press releases/ marketing materials, and you can find this being mentioned in the case of Dimensity 9200/8300/7200. But for 7300, they just mention "4nm technology", same as 9200/8100/8200, which all are based on N4.

Guyz, Vivo V40 is getting Zeiss lens, 6000mAh battery, 7 Gen 3 & $10,£10-20 increase in price, which I leaked, is confirmed recently. Hopefully, People buy it instead of crappy Reno 12 Series. V40 Pro is getting 8250 with Zeiss Optics.

Sorry Oppo, People & We both don't deserve this. Why are you running after money so much that you don't consider VFM strategy anymore??? Last best global device was Oppo Reno 10 Pro Plus. After that, people are loosing interest in it. Please come back to VFM & launch Snapdragon Powered Reno Devices.

Hackbox, 07 Jun 2024There is no far different from Dimensity 70507030/7050 have only two mid-cores (2xA78 + 6xA55), whereas 7300 has four (4xA78 + 4x55), so multi-core performance will be substantially higher. Also, it is fabricated on a more advanced node (N4) compared to 7030/7050 (N6). Graphics performance should be in the similar ballpark though.
7300 is a weird side-grade from 7200. Although it has four mid-cores compared to two in 7200, and therefore has a higher multi-core performance, it is based on older architecture and uses a slightly older fabrication process (7200 has A715/A510 cores and uses N4P process). Not to mention the GPU performance would be significantly lower (40-45% less) than 7200.

They should at least launch the Chinese Reno12 Pro globally as, I don't know, the Reno12 Pro+, or Reno12 Ultra? I'm confused, as these global Reno12 devices are downgrades from last year's Reno11 series. And don't get me started on the confusion of the Oppo F27 Pro(+), that's a downgrade from the Oppo F25 Pro.
