saabdeep, 05 Jul 2013The HTC one has 4 ULTRApixle camera not MEGApixle.Yes, because they use the largest typical sensor for cellphone, with a lower total pixel count, giving larger individual pixels to improve ISO performance.

The "Ultra" is just amarketing term so that Joe Average will undertand that it does not perform as a older 4MP cellphone camera. But it does shot in maximum 4MP and it is a 4MP camera.

This looks like the "Ferrari Edicion Especial" version of the Motorola XT621 that was announced for Nextel in Mexico earlier this year...

How many people post on here with no technical knowledge whatsoever and even less marketing savvy?
Re last comment - ULTRApixels is a marketing term to promote lower res sensors where HTC seemingly and quite rightly worried that your average phone user wouldn't understand the drop down to something like 4 meg. Yes pixel count does directly correlate to image resolution if you factor in general sensor quality and SIZE, along with lens size, noise algorithms and the such. BUT, as pointed out by another posting here, displaying on HD TVs and typical current computer screens will involve pixel dropping and until we all go to higher res screens (4K/8K TVs for instance) a 3.2 meg sensor is still adequate - do the maths! ..or look it up on Wiki as a starting point!! Also read an explanation by Ken Rockwell - google him and Nikon D40 re why 6 meg is more than enough.

AnonD-73274, 05 Jul 2013seriously you really think motorola will release a 5mp ... moreMy Moto RAZR XT910 has a 8 mp camera. So what exactly are you on about?? Or you just not such a bright person?

Why not, HTC One's camera is perfectly fine? You don't need 13 megapixels on a phone as megapixels have nothing to do with quality.

Anonymous, 05 Jul 2013Google: We need to make a phone with only 8gb memory.. if t... moreYour lack of knowledge amazes me.

First off it seems you think number of mega pixels = picture quality. It doesn't, not even slightly. In fact, if you take the same sized sensor as commonly used in today phones and make it 5 MP instead of 13MP and it will perform much better in low light.

Secondly a 5 MP picture (typically 2592 x 1944) will show crystal clear at FullHD and even higher screen resolution - given the sensor and lens actually are good enough to support the resolution.

It also seems you think number of cores influence performance. In simple (your) terms: More cores = more power = better performance. This is simply just not true. And if you are viewing this from a Android vs. other Mobile OS standpoint, it's pretty meaningless, as Android is much further along the (pointless) multicore war than any other systems.

A good single core can easily outperform multicores, even in multitasking. Something the RAZR i demonstrated by outperforming the Galaxy S3 in multitasking.

Then you have your little 1 to 5 list, which makes no sense at all if comparing Android to other Mobile OS'. And clearly you know nothing about Motorola, since your number 5 says small battery. Which is funny considering the small battery typically found in iphone and WP phones compared to a Motorola Android phone. The base model of RAZR HD offers a 2530 mAh battery, whilst the MAXX version offers 3300 mAh, same as RAZR MAXX. Other android manufacturers are tagging along, and this just recently Jiayu announced a 5000 mAh phone.

You also seem confused about lag. Lag = badly designed app/launcer. Sammy is troubled with laggy launcher, and too many bundled lag apps. One can easily have many apps running without lag. And btw, iOS lags and crashes contantly if the wrong app is installed, even from appstore. I've rescued a couple of ipads from angry and desperate users.

Google: We need to make a phone with only 8gb memory.. if too much, end user will realise our product is lagging bad.

Engineers: Ok, so we make 8gb, so that means we give the excuse 5mp camera is enough.. else end user will discover they cannot take much pictures.

Google: Ok, in that case.. reduce the resolution of the screen to 720x1280.. maybe lower.. so end user can see the picture clearer and will not appear fuzzy if 1080p is used.

Engineers: Well, in that case dual core is enough.. 1gb ram will also be enough.

Google: Ok.. lets get going.. we will draft out the specs as below:
                  1. 800x480 screen.. unless the renting for 1280x720
                  2. dual core
                  3. 8gb no sdslots (don't want that lag showing hehehe..), 1gb ram
                  4. 5mp random shooter.
                  5. 1600mah battery. (ahaha no high end tech used.. so its ok 1600.. they will not know the difference! hohoho!)

Ok.. then motorola X is developed.
