radu d., 13 Jun 2024hi. I had the same idea and got the phone : I already sent ... moreI have an LG G8 draining battery, cracked screen. An LG v60 and an Xperia 5 III which I assume sounds the same though wired headphones as the 1 does. How did the improved audio circuitry compare to previous Sonys? I can't buy it here anyway and it's rather expensive but I am curious about the audio quality. I guess that is just a minor improvement. It's frustrating that phones place so much emphasis on cameras that can never be as good as a midrange real camera with large glass lenses but very little on audio.

Alpha, 11 Jun 2024Will buy this to replace my S23U...I already made the order. hi. I had the same idea and got the phone : I already sent it back, main faults: telephoto camera is very shaky (it`s practically unusable in hand - only with timer and set somewhere),
camera altogether is lagy and has responsiveness issues), screen is mediocre, whole phone feels somehow hollow . the 3.5mmm is ok but nothing like the LG were. Loudspeakers are excellent. The lack of face unlock is tough after so many years using the technology , the fingerprint sensor is ok-ish. The photos look on par with s23u (except for the telephoto)...
I returned to the s23u sad and disappointed . this phone should have a price tag between 6 and 800 euros. perhaps , in the future i will get the 1 mark 5 , at least for the display and form-factor. Bye.

AnimaLiberia , 10 Jun 2024Thats kinda a good thing.... Its noticeably better this gen... moreI'm just correcting the other person. It's definitely much better to have lower megapixels than higher unless you're also proportionately increasing sensor size.

mrleft, 09 Jun 2024The cameras the same resolution...Thats kinda a good thing.... Its noticeably better this generation and the new app is finally merged into 1 app instead of 2. Phones shouldnt get new sensors every year if they cant even make full use of the existing one yet. Sony really only needs to keep using their same flaship sensors on their devices and keep improving their drivers

Ultimately i only see all upgrades in this generation, everything is basically just better & more refined even if it doesnt show it on paper

More in-house haters will just make Xperia phone gone faster. I am ordering Xperia phones each year regardless just to help.

Always been a fan of entertainment electronics but I have cut back on my purchases. However, the mobile which replaces several devices (5) I support Sony in the absence of any other Japanese brand. I am delighted with this 1 VI in Platinum Silver which replaces my 1 V khaki green. Next year will be important for Sony Mobile (possible change of the Xperia name, perhaps an audio-focused Pro etc.)

But haters still deny resolution matters.
