Anonymous, 10 Jun 2024Good luck finding any FF sensor that costs less than $500. ... moreI talked about size constraints. At that width and length only solution would be variable optical zoom and it would be like over 100 mm thick with todays optics. I see Omnivision pushing price down more than sony, so like in 15 years.

They wanna make an actually good and well optimized sensor. The OVX9000 is the best 1/1.3" sensor I'd say, an astonishingly great sensor with amazing noise control.

"The 50 MP main camera will move to a 1"-type OmniVision sensor - OV50K"
I am starting to think that the OV50K is like Bigfoot or something. I mean, come on, we've heard about this sensor many times, and it never gets released.
