Quite surprising for the XR and SE (2020) to get the iOS 18 update despite only having 3GB RAM. Speaking of XR, iOS 18 is its sixth OS update. But then again, they both have a 4-core Apple GPU, compared to the 8/8 Plus/X's 3-core Apple GPU.

I can see why Apple dropped support for these tablets. A10X is a OLD chipset, becoming almost 7 years old. 6th gen iPad only has 2GB of RAM which doesn't help its case either.
On the iPhone front, it's a huge win that A12 phones get iOS 18, even though most AI features will be reserved for those with 16 core neural engines (A13 and beyond). At least Apple has long software support, even though they are pretty scummy (recent AppleCare update)
