12 June 2024
It is a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, just like the Magic Vs and Vs2.

Actually it's vice versa. Company wants you to think that the latest one matter so they can sell their new products.
It's true though, tech is indeed evolving so fast, but doesn't mean the old one becomes obsolete, especially based of majority people's usage who only bought those phones only for casual usage. Just because Toyota released the new Camry, doesn't mean my old Camry becomes irrelevant.
Tbh I agree though that it's a bit overpriced.

In the tech world every minute your product is worth less

Now wit AI it can build itself so should be almost free too(a joke, dont flip out)

As long as this phone is not over €700, this is a good phone. Should be better than the vanilla Razr 50 for the same price, if it is roughly the same price.

Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 is still a powerful chipset to have in 2024. I want more phones with USB-C 3.1/3.2 and wired video output alongside Desktop Mode, foldable phones included. Only Motorola did it with the RAZR 2022. Samsung missed a step with the Galaxy Z Fold5 by not putting DeX in it.
