05 July, 2013
The month-on-month change is negative too, breaking HTC's positive streak.

it is because HTC completely forgets about updating their phones.I have a
ONE-X and guess what!? I have only got two update over the past year!!
just look at Apple updates their phone 5 or 6 times in a year and that is what makes a customer to go for a brand again and again...but Android brands only care about having the upper hand against each other and the only thing they don't care about is a customer's satisfaction

just like myself am in love With HTC but I'm not sure that's my next smartphone will be from this brand

I live in Indonesia, after all the great marketing effort on all new HTC products in our country. People are not willing to buy this phone cause the after sales and service centre is so lousy. if repairin a phone needs a month minimun, it just doesn't make any sense. That is maybe the reason HTC sales is doing so badly in Indonesia.

AnonD-6193, 08 Jul 2013this is why Nokia didnt go for android...Die Nokia, die!

LOL cmon, that's not even the reason why the sales are low.. HTC phones are OVERpriced. People would buy a handset that has new and powerful specs even with a little difference in cost.

AnonD-162829, 07 Jul 2013http://www.geek.com/apple/low-light-shooting-shootout-galax... moreThe fact is that the camera, though good at taking low light pictures, would have fared better if they did something similar with 8 ultra-pixels. 4up is just too low a number for most people to give it a second look.

But the REAL problem is the auto-focus and auto-white balance. Both of those are atrocious on the HTC One... like like the One X. I was really hoping they would have resolved that issue when they updated the camera. Unfortunately, for most cases the Galaxy S4 will end up taking better photos.

Also, the decision to make Blinkfeed run even if you don't want it was a stupid decision. I find Flipboard far more useful, so I don't need blinkfeed slowing my phone down and using up battery when I don't even want it.

This is inevitable for HTC because they forget the customers who have bought their phones and try to sell the new phones to the rest of the world... people like me are waiting for JB v4.2.x or at-least v4.1.2 for that matter but there are no signs of the update coming out. I bought an LG for my wife and always tell all my friends to not to go with HTC as they wont provide enough updates to their older phones. For me its a GOOD BYE HTC!

The only thing left to hope for is for HTC to survive this debacle (the One) so that they can avoid making such mistakes in the future (poor camera, too high a price-tag, no customer support, poor battery life etc.).

Even though a few well-known people have been seen with an HTC One, the masses don't seem tempted to buy this phone.

OIS is good, but the camera is let down by its low resolution which gives poor detail levels and a lot of noise. If you don't trust me, go to the camera compare tool on this site and compare the S4 and the One. If you pixel-peep, you'll see a striking difference.

It's a minor aspect in the complete package offered by a phone. And he's right, partially. If you take photos of objects with a lot of fine detail and zoom in 100%, you won't see a thing. That's bad for a modern flagship. Night-time photos are good but most of us take more pictures in daytime.

HTC are losing share among people seeking phones that are great all-round for any price asked.
