Weekly poll: Honor 200 and Honor 200 Pro go global, any takers?

16 June 2024
The phones strike a balance between performance and price. Some design choices may be "love it or hate it", though.

Namelesss, 16 Jun 2024This year, OnePlus 12 and the cheaper OnePlus 12R are hard ... moreI think comparing Honor 200(non pro) and Oneplus 12R unless you want better performance Honor 200 is having better cameras(it has decent main, ultrawide and even telephoto when Oneplus 12R has only good main camera and weak ultrawide and no telephoto).

With Oneplus 12 yeah it is much better deal than Honor 200 pro if pricing is similar(and in most regions it is): better cameras, flagship soc(Honor 200 pro has much worse gpu and last gen 5g modem and also lower clocked processor cores).

So for flagship buyers Honor 200 pro is not enough but that 200(non pro) sure seems fine phone if people are not wanting best performance on their next phone.

Of course Honor phones are very likely getting nice discounts in a few months so maybe even 200 Pro will be enough when price will lower.

danielfgom, 16 Jun 2024Hell no!!!! Not at that price! I'll just get an iPhone... moreI wouldn't buy iphone less than 15 or I would rather get used grade A S24+ or ultra for similar price many selling under retail price

Which back of the phone isn't boring ? u still cover it with case

Altough design is pure beautification i am happy with what i currently have so its a no for me.
But best design past few years so far honestly.
Specs nice compared to price a really good phone.

My only gripe withHonor and Huawei is that they dont launch all of their phones outside China
In Saudi Arabia they are still selling Honor 90
They dont quite have the price/performnce ratio of ancient times and the others have caught up

danielfgom, 16 Jun 2024Hell no!!!! Not at that price! I'll just get an iPhone... moreHonor isn't a budget brand. If you want better features, expect to pay more. You think cheap tech comes free? Come back when you got money to flaunt for a better phone.

£700 is reasonable but regional pricing still varies. Some say it'll cost close to £800 which IMO is far too high and competes with the OnePlus 12 that has superior features in every way.
If it's £700 it should be fine overall.

As for the Honor 200, it's basically identical minus Sony camera which some would prefer as more reputable and faster chipset, though some may argue the SD7+G3 should be at helm.
As a £500 smartphone, overall wise it sounds like a good enough midranger if you don't care about performance. Maybe this is the way to go instead of the Pro.

This year, OnePlus 12 and the cheaper OnePlus 12R are hard to beat for their asking price

the camera module is ugly and and far to chunky. curved screen glass is not popular.

                            No

REO., 16 Jun 2024That plastic frame is deal breaker for me otherwise i would... moreWhy do you want a metal frame so much?

Awaiting for Magic 7 series ...

That plastic frame is deal breaker for me otherwise i would have bought one . Meziu 21 or Nubia Z60 is a better deal for me

danielfgom, 16 Jun 2024Hell no!!!! Not at that price! I'll just get an iPhone... moreSame story with the iPhones, and they're still expensive. That's not how the pricing works; phones have always been cheap to manufacture, but much more expensive to buy, usually double or triple to their manufacturing expense. So looking at the Honor 200 Pro and the specs it boasts, like the 8s Gen 3, the same main camera as the Magic 6 Pro, and more, I'd say it's not really overpriced. A tad overboard, like $100-$200 overboard, maybe, but overall, not terrible value for the money. We've seen worse

Hell no!!!! Not at that price! I'll just get an iPhone if I'm spending that much money.

Somebody needs to tell Honor that we expect them to price this at €350 max. We expect the Chinese OEM's to bring us this tech at affordable prices. We don't need more premium phones.

We need budget phones with premium performance in ALL areas.

Literally budget android SHOULD be this phone but priced at €350. This tech is cheap to make. Cheap. The gyroscope chip alone costs less than $1. Ditto most other components.
The screen, CPU and battery are the most expensive parts but all in all it probably costs them €100 to make this phone.

When they were presented for the first time I said I would buy one. Bunt no, they're like WAY too expensive. Many less expensive but very good alternatives out there.
