Samsung Galaxy S24 FE runs Geekbench with Exynos 2400

13 June 2024
The clock speed of the prime Cortex-X4 core was 100MHz lower than expected, but this might be because of settings rather than hardware.

I'm S20 FE, S21 FE and now S23 FE owner, and I have to say that they're less and less worth it every year. Don't take me wrong, they're fine phones, but with their price tags, design and specs you might want to caught up extra for flagship or keep few quid and take the best of A Series (A55 atm).
I'm going to keep S23 FE for another 10 months until my contract ends and I'll either pick A Series or switch to Pixel. Unless Samsung lets me swap to S24 FE for around £50 again...

Samsung should get last year's Snapdragon Processors in the FE versions with last year camera too.. will make lot of sense to buy one. Also, polycarbonate back was a great idea, no need to place a cover on it.

If it comes with 8+ Gen 1 or 8 Gen 2 in the US, then I would actually look forward to this. E2400 is better at cooling than what E21 and E2200 had to offer

A year older Galaxy flagships are still better than current gen FE series.

The S24 FE spec is confusing. There's talk of it going to 6.1inch which is a step backwards, and there's no A55 in the US so in theory there's a 6.7 inch phone gap in the line-up. At the moment I would be happy with the S24 FE being the A55 with wireless charging and a slightly better camera set-up.

The CPU doesn't bother me. The 2400 is a big improvement over last year's model. Yes, SD would be better, but if it means they can build a 6.7inch phone with slightly better specs then the 2400 is a good compromise.

I hope they offer a 12GB option in more markets than they have with the A55.
