Impressive flip phone with big battery but that SD8+ Gen 1 crap manufactured by Samsung going to drain the battery and overheat. They should have gone for Mediatek Dimensity 9200 instead to keep the price low, which in fact is much more efficient. Take a look at Oppo N3 flip's battery life with mediatek chip, they nearly outlast most flagship bar phones.

No competition at all, this won't be available globally. So just Chinese market comparison..

I'm a fan of samsung but i hate exynos. No matter how good it would be. It's just history written in my memory. I'm sure they are good enough for samsung to be using them, but no matter what, I'd rather have snapdragon.

              14.89mm when closed,
              12GB RAM and 256GB storage(!),
              and a 4,800 mAh battery?!

Samsung Flip 5 and 6 have some real competition here.

There is a BIG reason why females are used to advertise this product and its because the Flip foldables are heavily purchased by them. There is also a reason the design is so wide ... its like a purse makeup kit or powder mirror.

Samsung doesn't ONLY use that chip and you're immensely wrong in bringing up that chip to a product it doesn't compete this this - wrong topic bub.

8+ Gen 1 for 690 is too much, foldable or not.

I dont buy snapdragon 8 phones anymore. Prefer laptop for more power. Just release a Snapdragon 7 or 6 variant, cheaper and worthy.

                      0.1hz minimum? Calm down honor

I don't like the huge ring around the main cam. Normally on a phone back or makes sense to draw attention to it but here it eats away at valuable display space. I would have made it as small as possible.

But very nice though. I'm impressed with honor. I checked out their magic V2 at mobile world and it was very impressive compared to Samsung's brick. If it weren't so expensive I'd buy it.

It is not about old 8 series vs " newer" 6 series or 7 series.

You all would bash if phone with 8+g1 in 2024 was announced by samsung, motorola, sony or htc. But give free pass when honor, xiaomi, huawei or vivo do it.

Other flasgships and even the 8 Gen 3 can reach 10W or more... I'd rather have something like the 7 Gen 3, which has equivalent power to a SD 870 but its very efficient.
