07 July, 2013
The company says its commitment to the mobile OS is strong and there's no reason to think Tizen is dying.

              Meego + samsung apps should be easier for them to build and better alternative to their android line rather than their own Tizen.

                Eldar - Russian analyst for mobile and editor of the site Mobile-Review. Of course, in the majority, is dealing with the facts and the financial statements of companies, analysis of situations in mobile systems, but only just. Why Intel listen to just thinking?

                  Unfortunately, we all know how PR is handled these days - right up until an entity is ready to admit something they will insist fiercely that it is absolutely not true (until it suddenly is...). Whether or not Tizen is actually well on its way to oblivion, all this confirms is that the parties involved are currently not ready to admit any such thing. Which is the general problem with PR fluff - as a source of information, it's worthless.

                    The way people shorten words and phrases:
                    "Tiz" = It is
                    "Tizen" = It Isn't

                    Maybe it is just local dialect to me.

                              I bet some of you've used Bada devices and are frustrated with that in the past, especially when Samsung abandoned the platform. Tizen OS is a result of merging Bada OS and some contribution from Intel, it would be a misconception to call Tizen OS the continuation of MeeGo OS. I have seen many hands on videos on the Tizen OS and all i can say is, the UI is a knock off of the Android 2.2 Froyo/Android 2.3 Gingerbread but heavily modified. The icons look like some cheap $10 Chinese phone's UI. From the previously leaked Samsung device running Tizen OS, it's clear that the ecosystem is resource hungry OS, like Android. I've seen nothing new in the UI, there's no innovation at all. Chances are, Samsung may eventually abandon the platform once they see that their Tizen devices aren't selling well. There are many OS coming soon, only time will tell what's successful. Jolla created the Sailfish OS beautifully, the UI is unique and they are even taking pre orders, so i am a little bit sure that Sailfish OS would be better than Tizen OS. Have you seen the iOS7? It's a total copy of Sailfish OS, MeeGO OS, Web OS and Android OS. There goes Apple stealing from others and calling it their own. Apple will soon see an apocalypse to their Apple devices.
