Standby time is being affected little, as noted by me with little usage on Xiaomi 12T Pro getting multiple days 100-50% and it's probably cpu scheduler causing idle cycles and not always allocating to right cores, with firefox consuming a lot. With just hotspot active I get less than 5%/hour drain.

And so far, it's no different than MiUI experience in general. Sure, there's no huge device breaking bugs, but The same small bugs here and there still exist that have plaqued MiUI for years. Xiaomi put too many efforts in the lipstick instead of fixing the OS from the ground up.

My phone has gotten a few HyperOS updates and everything has improved, smoothness, battery life, but yeah in the start it was am absolute mess. However I remember the past MIUI versions being similar, rocky start and eventually improving...
Their peak was MIUI 11 though. After that they went downhill when it comes to optimization and efficiency.

It might very well be because of bad cpu scheduler, as noted by web browser scores.

Most are simply lifestyle blogger with minimal or nonexistent actual tech knowledge, with many are simply marketing people that happen to use an smartphone (and then they claimed they're a techie to their publishing bosses). As such the content will be pretty much whatever the sponsors or the ones giving them free review units put on their "review guides." This is also why when you read or watch any tech reviews today, everybody tend to say the exact same things in the same order.

Bad battery performance. Despite having so many years to optimise their software, there's not much progress. Xiaomi is resting on its laurels.
