xiaomi have been silent on the 14 lite because they are apparently working on the 14 SE which may be new naming scheme for global civi/pro.

Samy, 20 Jun 2024It's very hard to understand why Xiaomi would launch t... moreIt's very hard to understand too that Poco F6 has Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 instead of 7+ Gen 3 while F6 Pro has 8 Gen 2. It's too close in perfomance and weird because 8s Gen 3 has better CPU perfomance (not GPU).
Only 14 Civi (Civi 4 Pro) should use 8s Gen 3 to make product differentiation.

It's very hard to understand why Xiaomi would launch this phone globally but only in India. Judging by the specs it's not directly competing against the Poco F6/Pro or the 14T/Pro when it launches.
I think eventually people will be able to purchase it online from overseas but I have my doubts on the 4g and 5g bands coverage since it is an India exclusive phone.
I hope gsmarena's team can address those points in their review.

Can't believe I'm saying this but Android experience is not good these days...the only worthwhile considerations are samsung S series(A and M series suck...sorry no offense)Sony flagships and Nothing/ moto if preferring clean software
However good the hardware maybe...It's becoming tough to choose mi owing to its bad software or even BBK electronics for that matter...With recent problems with unlocking bootloader it's hard even to install GSI roms on Xiaomi phones...and good luck if the company decides to stop fixing and abandon your particular model..(Looking at Mi9T pro/K20 pro)

Xiaomi 14 Lite should use SD 7 Gen 3 (compared to SD 7 Gen 1 on 13 Lite) and ditch the tele cam to make it cheaper..

Been using it for more than 2 months now and battery life has never been a problem. Granted it's my second phone. The camera though, not amazing but great to be frank. But my main phone is Oppo Find X7 Ultra, so for images I may not be fair as I'm comparing those 2 phones on a daily basis.

Nice phone but a bit overpriced in China. I'd doubt it would launch in Europe. If it did it would overlap with the Xiaomi 14t series in price as it would be in the €700-€800 price range. I think the 14t series will be better anyway with better rear cameras hardware at least. This one has the same main camera as the Poco F6 pro so will be interesting to see if the software optimization is much different

Wow camera looks very good. Hope the Xiaomi 14T, which is the one xiaomi model with Leica that releases globally, will have such great camera like this one apparently has
