At least this is better than nothing, if there isn't any new widely adopted battery chemistry technology ( yeah silicon-carbon electrode material). I'm excited for this new venture by Oneplus,hope other OEMs adopt same too.

Why not have an even bigger battery inside a 9.9mm thick device? We don't need thinner phones, we just need good protective materials for the back of the phone and then we can still have a thinner setup than one where we use a case. No one needs a 7mm thick phone.
