Yes they're stem-style earbuds, but their looks are pretty far removed from what Apple's been doing.

My goodness Sansung what are you doing alienating your current users with a copy. I guess this wont be my next earbuds.

    Buds2 pro have 2 drivers (10mm & 5mm) and 3 mics each.

    What the stems might help are battery life, better controls and voice pickup.

      Jay, 22 Jun 2024Guess I won't be upgrading, the bean design is just to... more1st, the Buds2 Pro is NOT a bean design, that goes to that ugly in-ear that's a 1 off generation introduced in 2021 by that super cute American-Korean that we've not seen since at Samsung.

      The Buds2 Pro are more of a Bud or Seed design. I too love the design of the Buds2 Pro, ans grow so the features but it has its major flaws due to its design and size:

      1. Cannot use larger drivers due to its size, nor can it have any more than 2 microphones. This affects larger sound space and particularly quality quality from the end user to the other party. Regardless of the AKG tuning.

      2. Using pure Silicon ear tips forces the ear inner canal sweats like crazy, I got very small ears!

      3. Due to sweating the Buds2 Pro slips out of the ears far too easily!


      Solution:
      The ear drop design that first appearing with the AirPods Pro's counters a few things - something I've researched why so many competitors chose to copy it:

      1. Sensors for controls are in the stems, leaving more precious space for a larger battery - as we're seeing with early leaks.

      2. Also allows for 3 microphones per bud, and larger speaker drivers or 2 per buds allowing larger more fuller sound space!

      3. The weight of the buds is counter balanced in the stem, only by flicking the stem in the AirPods Pro's makes them fall out. Samsung by changing the buds angle & by thinning the stems may avoid this issue.

      If Samsung can make a hybrid Silicon and foam by particle like the Sony XM-1000F's the complete fit and seal would avoid sweating in ear and thus sliding out.

      Longer battery life with ANC and clearer call quality with above changes ... I'm looking forward to this.

            At the same time, the design itself is not that original, looking like a regular pair of earbuds with their cords cut. Nonetheless, it looks horrible, regardless of the brand.

                Airpods are literally based on all the headphones I used in the 90s.. not sure what everyone is talking about "apple" design. LOL

                      They're going backwards with their designing . The current Buds 2 pro have the best fit. Branding and copying just coz a particular US market is obsessed is foolish.

                        I love reading the so called anon "experts" mocking a product that is not even available yet
                        nor has seen widespread users reviews of the buds.

                        So what if the design is truly a couple few years old as it is what is under the hood
                        that counts.

                        Humans no matter their age are still humans but newer versions are lazier than older
                        versions and lack the ability to converse face to face offline.

                                  How tenuous. The concept was Apple's and they were mercilessly mocked when they introduced it. Because Apple is basically a fashion brand, lots adopted it to make it known they had an Apple product. Now countless others are doing the stem-style. This is a definite copy regardless of whether the stem is rounded, shorter, flatter etc.

I've figured enabling volume gestures and touching and holing to top edge to adjacent for comfort or a better seal with my thumb and letting go top edge last doesn't hang up tgr call but slowly. It's super annoying.

                                    These look better than I thought. Now Buds 3Pro's reveal is going to be super critical.
