The difference to the 25T appears to be just the Thermal camera (better?) and the bigger battery (if the UFS 3.1 is a typo). Don't want a heavy phone. If it can last a day then fine.

The graphic does say UFS 3.1 but Dimensity 6300 is only UFS 2.2 as per its spec sheet. A reason for UFS 3.1 would be 4K video but Dimensity 6300 is only 2.5K video. Probably UFS 3.1 is a typo.

pl2rts, 22 Jun 2024USB-C after it was made mandatory in Europe then we are now... moreUSB 3.0 and 3.2 are basically the same thing now. Here's what the ports are...

        2.0 > 480Mbps
        3.0 > 5Gbps
        3.1 Gen 1 > 5Gbps
        3.2 Gen 1 > 5Gbps
        3.2 Gen 2 > 10Gbps
        3.2 Gen 2x2 > 20Gbps
        4 > 40Gbps

There's a new USB 4 version 2 with 80Gbps transfer speed, but that'll be used in the future. What I'm waiting for is USB 4 to be on high end smartphones, but that doesn't look like it will come anytime soon. Probably the first high end smartphone making use of the USB 4 port will be costing ~ $2000 and might be released in 2026 or 27.

Wild Horses, 22 Jun 2024Rugged phone makers are definitely thinking outside the box... moreI think they just make what the big brands wouldn't do, and try to capture the leftover markets. Big brands are scared to try new things out these days, why try when you can sell the same thing and profit. Look at LG who tried stuff and eventually failed.

Maybe at least IR gets to hi end phones some day.
Battery could too, going hiking, I must have powerbank with me, its so ridiculous.

Eric20, 22 Jun 2024The 25T Pro also comes with those features and weighs only ... moreI don't mind the chunkiness of these tough phones.

I loved the features of the 25t pro, but wasn't keen on the Kevlar looks and the amount of RAM.

The style of this 27t pro is great. It looks tough, it is tough, have a lanyard strap, which is completely underrated. I think Ulefone is the only company using them and the deserve praise for doing so. I have the hard case for my Armor 21, but I wouldn't trust it to keep my phone from falling out when doing tough stuff.

While other companies are taking away features, Ulefone leaves them in and gives us more. Major points to them in my book.

              @ pl2rts,

I just copied the sentence from GSMAena here just to reply, lol. Yeah, USB-C is pretty much everywhere now thankfully.

Only thing to mention is the number is it 2.0 or 3.0 or 3.2 that is the speed of file transfer trough the port.

Micro usb is on phones that are the bottom end of budget segment and even these dont make it out of the brand home countries where there are no rules like that it is mandatory to be with type-c

GAMIR3DH, 22 Jun 2024So basically the Galaxy S Active series. I miss those too...The Galaxy Xcover 6 Pro is/was almost perfect; I just wish they had an 8GB option.

Whoa! I almost went and got the 25t pro, but this is much, much better. Nice!

GAMIR3DH, 22 Jun 2024So basically the Galaxy S Active series. I miss those too...Thats just a normal smartphone with rubber skin on it. Same result with silicon case for every phone basically. As the Samsung rugged dont have night vision and thermal camera with also microSD card slot and 3.5mm jack

Am I missing something here > dimensity 6300 is UFS 2.2 according to dimensity website. So technically we either got mistake in marketing or Ulefone is trying to BS us...

Once again no decent torch, USB-C probably again 2.0.....
IF anything this 27T with smaller battery could be 25T - or at least specs it should of had. Wonder if any more models with thermal+ night on its way with better chipset supporting UFS 3.1 or 4.0 including high frame rate recording videos.

Pride and stupidity are ruining a lot of things in this world. Phones are on downward spiral now. Hopefully innovation can be re-discovered before it's too late.

I wouldn't mind a rugged phone if they weren't so thick and heavy.

Rugged phone makers are definitely thinking outside the box while traditional phone makers are not. A compromise between the two might be interesting. Rugged phones are too big for everyday use while traditional phones are a boring copy of each other in features. We need some of each type to shake things up.
