25 June 2024
It didn't mean to, but it published a Watch7 page early and inadvertently confirmed some of the rumored details for the next-gen watch.

But for the rest, I can concur and I have a Watch 3 and could compare with some other watches. It's not the worst but clearly not the best, Garmin at this is better. But again, it's a brand dedicated to that.
Samsung could do better here.
Perhaps with a partnering?

It's a move that Tizen users will not forget... Like Nokia did with Meego.

We all have different needs. My needs isn't a feature watch.

The Galaxy watch is not a reliable health tracking/fitness watch which is why the $700+ figure is ridiculous. It does have mobile connectivity which is rare. I thought the OP was just talking about android or smart feature first watches. If not, then there are multiple watches with better battery life like Amazfit, Polar and Ticwatch.

In the end everyone has their own needs/preference so I guess it is quite useless to compare garmin instinct 2 with galaxy watch. They are in completely different categories with different design philosphy and sold for different target.

Especially with the strengthen partnership with Google which I'm also not too found of Google pushing their monopoly across all vendors.

Blood sugar sensor was also rumored yet ignored?!

3 nm means less heat and thus less battery. the improvements may very well be worth the upgrade. especially if you have a trade in watch.

Can't match the battery life of the 2 top options so sales are not going as planned as someone pointed out. Trying another metric to spice up the marketing, 3nm will not yield the extra battery life to compete at the top, it may only bring them closer to snapdragon w5+. Adding sensors won't make it compete with sports watches, apps and OS are already very good by wear os standards.. Only options are more Samsung only apps unless they try to copy Mobvoi's dual display or the slightly less efficient OnePlus dual OS approach. Locking other companies out of updates with Google's help won't increase sales in this economy.

I really like my Watch3 Titanium too but I'll consider change if the battery is AT least 3 days.

A price drop would mean this is not selling as well as Samsung expected.

Meanwhile, I will stick to my Watch3 until they go back to Tizen and stop collaborating so much with Scroogle
