If you'll buy a gaming phone, the first thing you should be concerned about is the sustained performance. I'm not against OS updates, but that'll be the last thing I'll think about if I'll buy a gaming phone.

    Chill guys, RedMagic usually releases this as more like an S model or "Ti" model of their flagship line. Its not supposed to be a total upgrade from the OG RM9Pro but is more like a 6months refresh model.

        You know very well 3 years OS behind is NOT stopping you from playing ANY GAMES in the play store

        Nothing is wrong with wanting 3 years OS but come on android support for games is not that strict

          I like Red Magic phones but If they dont guarantee about 3 OS updates there is no point, there will be a moment you have lots of power but you cant install a new game because of the minimun OS requirement

                  Also with partially translated operating system from chinese and absolutely no support after opening the box. ZTE = Zero Technology Effective.

                    No point in getting this, might as well wait a few months to get the Redmagic 10 with the 8 gen 4, which has a 30-40% performance increase in comparison to the gen 3
