Look at your galaxy camera(no call function,no samoled,no full frame sensor)Nexus 10(no samoled,no call function,no stylus) are these selling well? Samsung don't waste your resources, dont scheme too much. Make galaxy note 3 nx camera(full frameinterchanable lens) make a big hit on smartcamera market. Consumer willing buy but no such super product supplied!

Anonymous, 10 Jul 2013Yes, they are. An IR blaster is totally superfluous. I gues... moreWho watches tv on a tv these days?????
        Millions and millions of people...DUHHH!!

Removable battery is a major plus for multiple reasons. Design is preference and only haters online dislike it. Build quality is top notch. Poly carb is overall more durable and practical. The S4 has the most natural screen ever to exist. While everyone claims Amoled is unnatural because of colors then LCD is unnatural because of no blacks or contrast. But movie mode in the S4 gives it 97% color accuracy, but still high contrast, true blacks, and more proper white balance. Something LCD may never achieve. Samsung is pretty top notch in performance as well.

Um...Who is using LI poly??/ almost none? Mainly HTC"in very few phones" and Crapple. Instead of taking advantage of their capabilities "higher capacities in smaller sizes" they make similar or smaller ones. HTC even makes non removable lower MAH batterie in a thicker phone. Then why even use it??? Crapple uses 1440MAH Li poly. Z and ZU sure don't and their batteries do not last long at all.

People love their S pen and if more screens used stylus way more people would. How is Spen dead if only Samsung has it and it's functions. Nobody offers anything close? And where on Earth did you get that only ZU can do that???

You would even go as far as to say not having flash is bad??? That who it makes pictures bad?? It's quit obvious you are an excessively ignorant troll who is a die hard sony fan and eccentric Samsung hater for their success. You will pick apart every advantage of Samsung and claim it to be nothing. Yet if it were Sony to have all these features over Samsung you would be parading the forums about it.

You're just going to sit there and find any and every excuse as to claim why everything special about Samsung/Note is amazing or an advantage.
Just so you can say that Sony is better because you are a diehard fanboy...Good boy/girl

Samsung should consider galaxy note 3 NX camera( with interchangable lens) not something cheaper 8 megapixel. Samsung scheming the market uncessarily n wasting their resource. Consumer nowadays wants something better not worse.get that!!!!!

Anonymous, 10 Jul 20131. Removable batteries USED TO be more practical, but they ... more1. Case point- Sony Xperia Z has only 4 hours+ of actual screen on. I bet the XZU will have similar hours. For people on the field like me, who power use like torrent downloading, Skype communications and who aren't stuck in the office, a fixed battery isn't the best choice. Sony was after being able to say they have a very thin device but sacrificed battery capacity because of fans like you. Yeah, you don't mind the battery stamina - you like how thin it is and how it sticks out from your pocket.

                2. Again, my job requires me not in a fixed office. I know what serious hardware is and I have an Alienware laptop for 3D generating and pen tablet to do editing at home with the choice of carrying it on trips. I'm also an Urban Sketcher (USk) who sketch on-location. The Note is the lightest, most power stamina, portable device with a Wacom digitizer to be able to sketch anywhere, and even share design ideas instantaneously. Don't tell me you don't know the benefits of sketching live and argue with taking mere pictures. The big question is - do you sketch or draw for a living? I do and a Wacom capable device is a serious tool, and with silo to keep the stylus - even better. It's the biggest reason I got the Note 1, then Note II. You and Sony missed that part.

TheNeighbor, 10 Jul 20131. Removable batteries are more practical. Instead of waiti... more1. Removable batteries USED TO be more practical, but they no longer are. Even heavy users can frequently get through an entire day with these large phablet batteries, and even if you can't, Snapdragon 800 has Quickcharge 2.0 which drastically reduces the time time needed to charge. I'll take total waterproofing over the questionable utility of being able to swap the battery out.

                    2. I know what wacom is, but thanks for being patronizing. I also know that it's useless crap on a phone. 1024 levels of pressure? That's great. I'm willing to bet that a brush and paper has even more, though. Which is to say, if you're an artiste, why are you compromising by doing sketches on your phone? This is like people claiming to be expert photographers and then complaining about the poor quality of the camera on their smartphone. If you're a serious photographer, you're not going to be using a smartphone camera, you'll have a dedicated DSLR.

So no, Sony did absolutely the right thing by implementing the feature in a way that will be more convenient for 99.9% of the public. The fact is, this is a smartphone, and any stylus implementation is going to be a pure convenience. Instead of going on the fool's errand of attempting to match a brush-and-paper experience on a phone (something that no one cares about anyway), they have tapped into the essential quality of the smartphone stylus experience (convenience) and enhanced that central experience. You and Samsung miss the point entirely when you start talking about Wacom.

So what if it digs into hips a little bit for 10 seconds while you're tying your shoe? Maybe this is a deal-breaker for you, but I'm not such a wuss that I'm going to settle for a markedly inferior device just because the Z Ultra "digs into my hips a little." Please.

If this were true then I hope Samsung carefully evaluates each device with the right price points. I'd agree on $549, $599, $649, and $699 subsidized pricing. Also, even though seems like over saturation of the Note brand it might help the consumer to have a choice on what they need from a phablet. Here's hoping the Note 3 premium is the device most of us are anticipating (:

AnonD-77443, 10 Jul 2013Awesome artwork with the Note 2 there TN :-) Personally ... moreThanks. After realizing that a pencil can't do pressure input on the XZU, my initial first good impression of it evaporated. It has lesser capabilities/features/versatility than the Note II. The numbers difference in specs, size, resolution, weight, waterproofing and thinness all fizzles out as the fixed battery backup, non-wacom capability, poor software pen intrgration and difficult pocketability are big turn-offs. No way I'll barter my Note II for the XZU as my daily device.

If they have 2 or 3 versions then the top end device wouldn't need to have any compromises yet people could still get a cheap note 3.

My biggest concern is that the lower end devices would be the only ones available.... much like 16GB with no 32GB or 64GB Note 2's to be seen.

As a said I have a Galaxy Note One and I am a Samsung fan too but I really don't think that Samsung should try to do this wit Note 3 because this will create a discrepancy among the future users of Note 3.

Personally i don't use my S-pen a lot but spare batteries are awesome if you do long haul flights or head bush camping for a few days and use mapping software a lot.

I agree that the UZ would be really uncomfortable in some situations. Its 30mm longer than the note 2!!!
