Jitsu, 09 Jul 2013I would like to remind you that Microsoft is the company su... moreMicrosoft just keeps your data for six month and then they delete it, whereas those Android phones, somewhere deeply connected with Google, keeps your data forever. Furthermore, whenever you go to Google Play Store, you see a bunch of applications, most of them, say 75% of the apps, are ad wares, copy of another applications, themes for different launchers, nonsense, mallards and some don't even work. Only 25% of the applications on Android are worth. I don't even sign in to Google on my Android phone due to privacy concerns. Most of custom ROMs have bears some bugs which sometimes makes me not want to flash it. I'm sick and tired of those lags, malwares and heating up issues. Without another thought, i would buy a windows phone, mostly because of proper optimization and stability.

i want either this or the xperia ZR, i currently have the s4 since day 1, but it was typical to see this model announced only 2 months later, so i think i may swap this for the above mentioned, i am happy to sacrifice the amoled and 13mp camera for it but we will see :-)

You Heard Me, 09 Jul 2013I am pretty astonished with the level of your education tha... moreFinally someone who understands what's this all about.

Yeah - buying aluminium, shiny phone just to place it in CHEAP (not good quality like here) plastic protective cover, because it scratches and breaks by just looking at it. Makes perfect sense!

I also don't like the desing, but the usability, ergonomic, and the way it makes it fit on a hand like a glove is a good trade for the shiny looks.

AnonD-78442, 09 Jul 2013I think Samsung are spreading themselves too thin. They nee... moreQuality is brilliant. Those are really sturdy and good quality.

It's just that the apple marketing made people think that aluminium (which is really weak, and fragile), and glass (regular one, like in the iphone back) are both premium materials.

Go ask premium gun manufacturers which materials are the best. Gun made from aluminium or glass? Really? They use polycarbonates, the same ones as samsung just in different densities (nobody cares about a few grams weight extra)

Anonymous, 09 Jul 2013Would rather like to waste my £500 on a Nokia Lumia 9... moreI would like to remind you that Microsoft is the company supplying NSA with your private data. Samsung is NOT on the list. Also you don't have to add a google account if you don't like it.

Furthermore if you're really paranoid about the OS (Samsung based Android was already scanned and is deemed free of privacy concerns), you can always install a custom ROM which is open source, and completely free of disturbing stuff.

But no, you prefer a CLOSED system from a company with years long privacy infrigiment history. God one knows what kind of creepy software is running in the background, doing god one knows what.

Samsung s4 is the best phone of the year. Moreover, it runs perfect android, no lags. Samsung is the top1 in the world!! and android is the king.

Haha whatta bunch of craps in the comment section..
There you have someone complaining abt another s4 variant where in fact this is announced a long time ago and this has to be the best variant of the intl s4..
Another one telling s4 is flop?? Whatt??? 20M units in just 2 months!!
Another one who is still in love with metal lol, i will not sacrifice my repl batt for that unless samsung can offer something in both worlds,. However i will still prefer whatever comes out in tge recent Samsung Carbon Fiber Deal and Design 3.0 and flexible display.. i dont want dents and obvious scratches!
SAmsung is the only manufacturer that offers different android flavor with its features, Samsung initiated dualspeaker in galaxy Music and note 10.1

Would rather like to waste my £500 on a Nokia Lumia 920 than the S4 active, with that horrible OS as Android that causes privacy concerns, lags etc. Horrible phone

SWIFT FROM BDM, 09 Jul 2013You are right, however i am afraid there are just too many ... moreI am pretty astonished with the level of your education that you claim to have. Having metal better than plastic? Samsung have sufficient resources and manufacturing capacity to produce metal case their own, if they really want to. Every Samsung smartphone owners know that the design is a drawback but they also know how superior is the ergonomics compared to their fancy competitors.

Samsung may improve the design and build materials but not necessarily metal or coke-can aluminium that HTC suffered from shortage initially from their supplier.

I guess your education level is only about the exterior, nothing more...and I can see why you chose HTC One in the first place. I am not even surprised that you a former iphone fan. And yeah, u can caress that soon-to-be-damaged aluminium phone without protective case, all night long. :)

This is a Samsung version of a waterproof, dustproof mobile device. I do not like HTC, Sony, etc. But I still seek such features in a mobile phone, therfore I don't think Samsung is "spamming the market" for releasing it. I have a note 2,working near a swimming pool naturally got it wet and damaged. Hope to see this phone in the middle east soon.
