Can someone please explain why this article only speaks about the S25 Ultra? I understand SAMSUNG wants to market its most profitable device but what happened to the S25 and S25+? Some customers prefer smaller devices. SAMSUNG would be foolish not to sell the S25 in other sizes. Do all the changes that apply to the S25 Ultra also apply to the other 2 sized phones? I am only trying to enlighten myself about the similarities and differences so as to make an informed purchasing decision when the time comes.

I am honestly happy about the rounded corners.
One of the reasons I didn't upgrade from S23 Ultra was the boxy design and sharp corners.

YUKI93, 02 Jul 2024"Built in storage is faster and more reliable than an ... morehow about storage speed benchmark ?
OR how about comparing the transfer with phone-micro-sd ? do transfer speed from microSD in phone as fast ?
any high-end microSD is slower than builtin storage UFS, i would like to see if microSD in a phone can be faster than the built in storage
maybe for high-end microSD you can take out from the phone and put in card-reader and get faster transfer speed
but is that convient ? needing to turn off the phone + unplug/pluging back the card ?
microSD can last long, if used as casual storage
now go put that microSD in cctv cam storage where it get write a lot & see how long it will last
well obviously microsd in phone will only function mostly as passive storage
if microSD that reliable and fast, why would people in this world use SSD/nvme over microsd ?

YUKI93, 02 Jul 2024"Built in storage is faster and more reliable than an ... moreI get that Micro SD cards are still a big deal for some people... but for me - and others no doubt - it's pretty much a non-issue. I'm happy with internal storage.
Plus - like the headphone jack - if SD slots were that important to the majority of buyers, people wouldn't be buying Apple and Samsung phones in their millions.

SteveUk, 02 Jul 20241. The built in S-pen >>> a headphone jack
2. ... more"Built in storage is faster and more reliable than an SD card."
Actually, not really. Contrary to popular belief, internal storage only uses about 1/10th of the theoretical speed for file transfer. Most of them are used to manage the software and RAM algorithms. Noteboocheck only managed to achieve 228MB/s of data transfer speed when connecting their Samsung 980 Pro NVMe SSD via ASUS ROG Strix Arion Case to the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra*. Even the Sony Xperia 1 v only managed 242 MB/s**. It's not hard to find genuine high-end microSD cards around that speed.
Speaking of microSD card "reliability", it's your problem buying cheap China clones. My entry-level Kingston 512GB is two years old, yet it still has no problem pulling full speed during file transfer, i.e. to a NAS hard drive or my Windows PC.

SteveUk, 01 Jul 2024...just get USB C wired headphones then... 😉Theoretically, USB-C earpieces could be the best compromise for smartphones without a 3.5mm audio jack (even though you can't charge the phone simultaneously). Unfortunately, proprietary codecs and algorithms are what ruin it. You can use any 3.5mm earpiece on any phone, and it immediately works on the spot. You try to do the same with USB-C earpieces, and it's not hard to see not all phones can work with it. That's why USB-C earpieces never catches on.

DBS, 01 Jul 20241 - Open the phone. Go ahead. Then look inside. There'... more1. The built in S-pen >>> a headphone jack
2. Built in storage is faster and more reliable than an SD card. And it's actually really simple to back-up, restore and transfer to another phone/PC(?). You can just do it directly (with a USB C lead) or wirelessly, using SmartSwitch. I have nearly 1TB of data backed up... no problem at all.
BTW - the S23 does have a 512GB option
3. Just get wired USB C headphones if you don't like wireless ones 🤷♂️

you refuse to do that. so deal with it yourself.
i understand many people dont like forced to change/move on
but again its people again that decide things
phone sales not changed much, people still getting new phones without those sd-slot/earphone jack
thus not creating big problem smartphone maker to ditch those, and actually its opposite
few years ago apple airpods reported generate nearly $8 billion in revenue, thats big money there

Ae, 30 Jun 2024Dude. The Phone has too big of a motherboard and an S pen w... more1 - Open the phone. Go ahead. Then look inside. There's no lack of space in that phone inside for both the microSD and the headphone jack. The microSD went into the dual SIM tray. Except more people used the microSD than two SIM cards. The headphone jack was also used by more people than gimmicks like the S pen. Plus, only the Note/Ultra has the S pen. By your flawed logic, then only that one should have lost the headphone jack.
2 - Who wants a microSD? Anyone who doesn't want to pay triple the price of a microSD for the internal storage upgrades. Anyone who doesn't want all their stuff in the internal memory where it's a nightmare to back-up, restore and transfer to another phone/PC.
On top of that, no, there's no 1TB options. Last I checked, the S23 doesn't even have a 512GB option, let alone 1TB.
3 - wireless audio is garbage. And wireless earbuds are even worse. Plus, I don't need yet another thing to constantly have to keep charged and that will last me far far less than a normal pair of wired headphones. If you want to have garbage experiences and eat up all the trash OEMs serve you, that's a you problem.
I refuse to do that. Deal with it.

Ninja, 29 Jun 2024Who tf keeps music on their phone?? Heard of Spotify??? some times Spotify & Apple Music Don't have an artist's full catalogue, so sometimes you have to go download a song/album to actually listen to it. especially an older artist's older albums. ( This is especially true with Hip hop & mixtapes)

Cosmetic changes... I want them to finally change their control & notification centre... it's archaic... Yes the icons, colors & shape of icons has changed, but the basic layout has been there since TouchWiz. (Icons on top, notifications at the bottom.), No dedicated music toggle is also a sore point for me. iOS has honestly surprised me on how they leaped changing their layout more than Samsung has

Ninja, 29 Jun 2024Who tf keeps music on their phone?? Heard of Spotify??? I do. Spotify or YouTube music don't sound as good as the music on the phone. Bass is missing. I don't see the point of having a good pair of headphones if the sound is coming from online sources... I even tried equalizer app to make it better but it just doesn't work...
