These phones do not support the T-Mobile USA's 3G bands (1700/2100mhz).
Unless you use AT&T these phones fast 7.2 Mbps HSDPA 3G connectivity will be useless.

I waited patiently and bought my iPAQ 910C Business Messenger last month (September) as soon as they were available in retail stores. After a few days I contacted HP because the GPS Quick Position program did not operate correctly. The 910C uses a Qualcomm chipset for its GPS but the GPS Quick Position program is a Broadcom technology (LTO-AGPS Long Term Oribits) which downloads ephemeris data that allows the GPS to receive GPS coordinates quickly without an active cellular or internet connection. When the technology works, like on the prior HP iPAQ HW6940, the GPS begins working within seconds. On its first use the GPS on the iPAQ 910C takes minutes for the GPS to work - the GPS QK Position program is broken because it does not improve this time. On October 14, 2008, less than a month after the HP iPAQ 910C is available from retail stores, HP announced this...

    "SUPPORT COMMUNICATION - CUSTOMER ADVISORY

    Document ID: c01577927

    Version: 1
Advisory: HP iPAQ 600 Business Navigator Series and HP iPAQ 900 Business Messenger Series - No Map or GPS Application Upgrades
NOTICE: The information in this document, including products and software versions, is current as of the Release Date. This document is subject to change without notice.

    Release Date: 2008-10-14

    Last Updated: 2008-10-14
    DESCRIPTION

HP is not providing map upgrades or Global Positioning System (GPS) application upgrades for the HP iPAQ 600 Business Navigator Series and HP iPAQ 900 Business Messenger Series devices. This is due to the short life cycle of the smartphones and the changes in the fast-paced handheld and navigation market."

To say this was a short life cycle is an understatement. HP has all but announced the end of support for this phone when it has been deployed for less than two Months. Perhaps these new HP phones are intended to be replacements for the iPAQ 600 and iPAQ 900 series, but unless HP intends to lease them to business customers they will need to make some promises regarding product support lifespan. If HP will not support these phones for at least 18 months then their ROI just isn't worth the effort.

Mr. MARTIN, 21 Oct 2008WinMo-devices? wow about time winmo came in to market, if o... moreyou seem to miss the point... the hardware parts used in smartphones are so tiny that with today's technological capabilities- we are not able to make a small device like a smartphone be capable of having the RAM to run vista, let alone have a built in 3D accelerator to pull the visual effects of vista.

and there is UNIX based OS available for mobile phones, but like most good Open source software- it doesn't come for free.
