YouTube Premium gets Jump ahead button, PiP and smart downloads for Shorts

The new features are available for Android users in the US and will expand to those on iOS in the coming weeks.

As people staring to their prones everywhere in public isnt enough socially destructive, now there's gonna be people talking to their phones all over the place in the future.
I can imagine what the adds in the future can look like.

    Conversational AI in search? Really? What about reverting search back to pre-2022, when it wasn't garbage?

    And I fear the redesign, as YouTube has a history of making things worse with redesigns.

      Downloads can be done on clients not called Revanced and it could be a single or multiple downlads at once.

        No thanks regular YouTube is fine.

          I'm astounished bu the fact that it's before on Android than iOS.
          In the past that was iOS first and someday, Android haha.

            Stealing ideas from sponsorblock I see

              we didn't ask for shorts, we want a way to get rid of them from our feed...

                  Still arent interested in youtube premium for 14 eur a month so who cares???

                    I have been using these features for a while now.

                          I've had PiP in shorts I think for a week or two now
                          And it's super annoying, like why do you even need a short to play PiP
                          It is understandable for long form videos
                          But it's annoying when I press home from shorts only to find it playing in the home screen

                            Man I wish I could disable shorts, that's the only reason I'm using Revanced, I have no use for those awful clips
