    Practicality is a must for any phone there is. Not everybody has large hands too.

I narrowed my options down to Pixel, Xperia, Sharp and Apple. I guess it was inevitable because people prefer big screens for media consumption. People addicted to their cell phones have no idea that bricks are complete garbage. I doubt the current compact 6.1" cell phones will go away, but if they do, I will simply stop using a cell phone forever. I will never use a brick.

        I was fan of 10 Pro+ great size. 12 Pro+ improve only on camera, basically same screen and speed.
        Maye be wait for 13 Pro+, but summer time, new phones have bright screens. I switched to Realme GT 6T, fast, bright. Bigger size, but still useable on hand and not overweight But now bigger screen and battery.
        Cameras simple, but I don't mind.
        13 Pro+ don't know about screen brightness yet, anyway will pass this model. Oneplus Ace 3 Pro looks more promising, if global version wil be released.

It was especially appreciated in Japan because the Japanese are obsessed with compact technology. I don't even know what the other commenter was talking about. 13 mini and SE3 had excellent battery life for such small phones. Both were praised by GSMArena in the battery life department.

Just look at iPhone SE3 and iPhone 13 Mini's battery life. Every phone with the same pricing with SE3 literally beats SE3's SoT. Battery life is also one of the reason why the iPhone Mini didn't sold well.
                          Also, why not both? Big battery with great software optimization. Really hope that soon we can go back to the Nokia era where battery can lasts for many days.

                                  Realme number series was launched to compete Redmi Note series in 2018. At that time Redmi Note 5 (Pro) was Redmi's latest offering. In 6 years Realme launched 12 number series devices and at the end of this year or early next year Redmi and Relme both will launch their 14 Note/Number series device. Realme should focus quality over quantity and only launch one device in number series per year like Redmi.

                                      I hope the new battery tech quickly gets trickled down to the midrangers cus they need it the most! At the end of the day MOST of the world buys midrange phones. The reason why you don't see high sales of Redmi Note 13 Pro+ is because of the high amount of midrangers out there, there's like a dozen different redmi phone each year and that's crazy.
