Agree it would be nice to have a removable battery. Isn't there an upcoming EU law about this? So it's going to happen at some point down the road. In the pictures it seems that one of the attachments looks like some sort of power bank? Not an alternative but a good way to get some more extra juice in the tank. Let's hope tomorrow this reveal delivers.

Not bad for a first phone... and it's not pointless. Some will appreciate the option to change colors of their phone plus.... if by some chance the back cover gets damaged one can easily replace it. Im curious about the add on on the back... is it for credit cards and cash only or something else? we'll know soon enough.

RZ117, 06 Jul 2024They should've dropped the 120hz AMOLED for NFC, maybe... moreHonestly I think they should’ve went with a 60hz lcd and focused more on improving longevity because the Dimensity 7300 is only about as fast as an A12 Bionic, and a faster chip would give the phone a longer lifespan. Also lcd is better for people with pwm sensitivity. I really like the design though; it kinda looks like something Nintendo would make

I'm not a huge fan of Nothing, but this is an interesting phone. It as least makes the effort to be different. Given the 2a was more popular than the 2, maybe Nothing is being smart by selling a unique budget phone under another brand name. It can then have two budget lines.

We had removable backs as late as 2014 with the Samsung Galaxy S5/Note 4 and 2016 with the LG G5/V20. I’m hoping with these 7 years of software support and EU helping, we go back to a time with removable batteries. We can use our phones for as long as possible.

Its been 20+years since then, we should be able to change every part of a phone like that, camera, soc, antenna...thats how technology should have progressed
There was a Siemens back then with a screw, you could put it in a Beer for an hour and it would work, no problems
The smartphones just got worse and worse as time passed by (offcourse better for the company to make more money)

Nothing made removing back complicated by giving screws and Back Covers. Instead work on camera + OIS to be better in INR 20000/$270/£280 Segment.

at least make the case cover the screw hole on the bottom as it looks uncomfortable to hold 🤦♂️
