Heck, it's so much easier to take out the trash from HyperOS out of the box and you don't even need to use a pc or Shizuku for the most part. Ads are easily disabled too and the Android 9 Private DNS also helps a lot.

      justasmile, 08 Jul 2024Weaker camera? Nah. And the software too.The nothing 2a is no exception to nothing's weak camera performance. It just isn't good at all on any of their phones. It does have cameras, yes. It can take photos, sure. Just not very good ones.

      They are generations apart. The Redmi is several years ahead in photo quality.
      Bigger sensor and better camera software makes for loads better photos. Plain and simple.

      If you prefer the nothing OS UI. Then that's fair. A personal preference.
      I personally prefer HyperOS over it, and all other android UIs. Again, a personal preference.

      I also prefer the objectively better screen, both in terms of brightness (which is more than 30% higher on the Redmi) and and color volume - 68x that of the 2a and the Dolby Vision support, the camera system (by miles) and the significantly faster storage. More than 5x faster write speeds. Other bonuses are the Redmi's IP68 vs the the nothing IP54. GG Victus over GG 5 and three times faster charging, for when needed.

      The Redmi Note 13+ is simply put superior to the nothing 2a, objectively speaking.

        Will it make the dimmer screen any better in bright light? Nope.
        Will it make the UFS 2.1 storage perform as UFS 3.1? Nope.
        Will it make the camera better? Clearly not a this point. Same as always, the nothing people have a boatload of work to do to perform their camera performance. It just isn't their strong suit.

                        That's not better, but worse.

                          Even at this price, the Nothing Phone 2a is better value for money than the Note 13 Pro+, especially in software.

                            Nore 13 series was kinda mid overall with disappointing battery life and heating issues.
