I want the most foldable phone possible, ideally 6.7" when folded and more than 8" when unfolded

              You have 2 options

              1. Honor magic v3

              2. Samsung galaxy z fold 5

Reducing it by 0.2mm to 9.7mm... morecorrection: better surface area ... thickness will not affect screen realestate as it's 2 dimensional for 98% of the screen. Thickness for volume as in battery could use significantly. Honor may need to play follow the leader if thickness is their main focus. 8Gen 3 SoC will be a nice welcome Indeed.

                Lets see just how much they can squeeze with such a large screen and very slim low battery. There is a reason why Samsung Z Fold 5 came out on top or 2nd best for actual phone call length and standby hours once first used.

                  9.9mm is completely fine IMO. Reducing it by 0.2mm to 9.7mm is the basically just a pissing match for no discernable benefit. Come on, Honor, just do something like what Transsion has done with their Borderless Foldable Main Screen, because that actually gives you more internal space for the same thickness, which you can use for better cameras or a larger-capacity battery.

                              Looks like the outer screen of samsung flip 6 is LCD

                                Does GSMA not use their own database or something? The Honor V Purse is the thinnest phone at the moment at 4.3mm when unfolded, not the V2.

                                  This beauty could easily be a replacement for my S24U and finally my first foldable phone.
                                  Looks forward to leave Samsung which only gives minor upgrades on each release and are behind iin many ways vs more and more brands nowadays.
                                  Samsung take themselves for granted and isn't something special anylonger.

                                      The only horizontal foldable I’d consider getting if I were in the market for one due to its thinness. Now, if only Chinese companies were decent at developing software — which they are not.
