This is innovation and we want to see these kind of advancements from LG, not those Copy Pack updates...

This is some pretty awesome news. I cannot wait to actually see one.
I agree with others that it will probably be used in the G Pro 2

AnonD-157695, 11 Jul 2013IPS display is far better than AMOLED displays coz IPS show... moreActually the higher contrast is what is more natural and one of the advantages of Amoled. And while Amoled's saturation is considered unnatural, LCD's lack of black and contrast is unnatural.
Where Amoled has the ability to change it's color accuracy. Especially the newer one that has 97% color accuracy in movie mode, while still having true blacks and high contrasts, and a more proper white balance. So in all actuality the S4's screen in movie mode is possibly the most realistic natural screen to have existed.

AnonD-157695, 11 Jul 2013IPS display is far better than AMOLED displays coz IPS show... morei like it because it displays the black area better. I find it more real black like a real natural black in a real world..not like lcd where u can see the light comming out from the black area of display.

Now what this means is there is more space to fit in a thicker battery
LG don't slim down the phone, just give it a bigger battery in the same shell.
whats the point in having a wafer thin phone, which is dead by afternoon

This is really great. Both LG and Samsung are kings in display technology. They are best in their own category. Don't these Koreans actually sleep? :D

I can't wait to see LG G2 introduction.

Maybe LG will counterattack Sammy hard on their S4 : 5.2" snapped on a phone not bigger than S4.

                              That would be awesome.

LG is always first to produce new display, but always last to provide update. And also we need 8 + hours of screen time in any task.
