Anonymous, 09 Jul 2024Do you doubt it?Yes, I never used it, I do not need this gadget.

salarx, 10 Jul 2024if they had put a removable battery, it would be revolutionary It would be smart and actually usefull, but revolutionary? With fairphone the king of revolution and hmd, with their own way of simplfy repairability, a removable battery would for sure not be revolutionary.

Beeing a techincian, i always recomand to people: DO NOT insert your whole life in a phone, you might regreat it bitterly, sooner then you think. Most take my advice seriously when is too late.

salarx, 10 Jul 2024if they had put a removable battery, it would be revolutionary Yeah that's what I think as well. Removable batteries are great, I need not to visit a technician or the brand authorized service center in order to get the battery replaced which in turn would mean product longevity given the product is still functional. I can also have the flexibility to replace the battery as and when needed, if I have a spare battery. Unfortunately, manufacturers won't bring back removable batteries because they want more consumption by the general consumers and it would in turn be more profitable for them if smartphone and other digital device owners get their devices repaired by the company authorized service centers.

justasmile, 10 Jul 2024Well yes. It's basically a necessity at this price.I was thinking the same thing but then when I got a NFC phone I barley used it to pay, and then only for fun. Whenever I go I'm also taking my id just in case something happens, so I always have my cards and such with me.

justasmile, 10 Jul 2024Imagine how inconvenient it is to pull out your phone, open... moreI have NFC payments active on my phone for years now and I have used it less than a dozen times. Most times shops do not have NFC enabled POS devices, sometimes they just ask to pay using QR and don't want card payments as they have higher percentage cuts from each payment than online QR based payments.
Not implying NFC is useless though, it is useful but for a cheap device in a market where most people make payments through QR, NFC is the first thing a company can think to scrap.

but they need to listen to provide option of 512gb and 1Tb too.
