That's why I never cared about Sony and ASUS only giving two OS updates for their phones. Most people keep their phones for three to four years, and that's before we even talk about those who keep changing phones through carrier plans. I don't mind if they give an extra one or two OS updates, but even that is still more than plenty.

Also, if the brand gives seven years of software support, the hardware should be in good condition to keep up with the ever-evolving software. It's why I keep adoring Fairphone's DIY repairability policy as you can repair and replace any smartphone parts down the line during the support timeline. At this point, I only trust Fairphone for long-term software support as they have already proven themselves.

        May as well find myself new Foldable to upgrade that's not samsung, probably an Open 2, a Xiaomi or the Vivo

                This is in competition with regular iPhones for least amount of upgrades. It's literally Fold5 in a different shell

                      All these make it feel like an Irresponsible decision to choose this over the other alternatives from companies like oppo,vivo

                      But this has Galaxy AI which is absent on their competitors and so,

                      even with those flaws, this phone still holds some grounds

                                    @Yordan please work with your HTML web dev team and app development team ans fellow editors regarding inability to double tap or properly zoom into single pics posted in articles for viewers/members using the official GSMArena application please. Very few articles are to to work for the mobile app while thr majority is not. Pinch to zoo. On an Amdroid phone doesn't scale correctly based on gesture speeds or ratio ... it's an ugly snap jump and the zoom focus is NOT on target.

                                    Next possibly to Yordan or just information not mentioned on particular resource ... how come there is NO mention at this time regarding new technology and thickness of the inner screen to minimize crease nor the depth of the crease nor prevention of inner displaycrease and cracks??! Y? Targeted hate campaign to leave crucial information out that'll say readers with financial resources to purchase from Samsung's Folds to the competition?seems to be that way why else leave out crucial information?!

                                    Oh and haters now we know where (or partially since the mention above regarding screen technology prowess ignored/left out,) where Samsung has been spending theie R&D at with the Z Fold 6 ....

                                    This is something that is VERY tangible and crucial over the lifespanpf the product as well as its support and prevention of E-Waste soo many haters easily jumped on the bandwagon now are just "husssssh"

                                    Dust(!) Alone can cause havoc in tiny electronics and especially moving parts using a rotating mechanism! Too much dust can cause improvise smooth mechanical movement initially, soon after creaking noises or worse small non smooth movements or jitters of tiny freezes during fold/un-folding and worse electrostatic shock that can effect battery, screen calibration/function.

                                    As no longer such a product line is perceived attainable or usable for those elite on the bleeding edge. You're going to see more people shove these in their jeans pockets, khaki syite and bags/purses (latter is a mindfirld i tell you - just witness when a makeup case is opened up!)

                                    The MAJOR change we need to see is the warranty support attitude stance from Samsung globally - initially placing blame on thr customer before properly checking fully ! I also blame their 3rd party handler of inbound and outbound shipments for anything warranty related or servicing. Samsung should be brining this inhouse!

Doesn't mean it's enough changes to justify the upgrade but it's different visually. The crease is also better.
