Remember the lawsuit against Blackberry a few years ago? The award for damages in appeals court was lowered because the US government was concerned the company would not be able to continue. The reasoning was in the interest of US National security, because so many in the Military and Intelligence agencies used BB devices.

It's primarily a phone for people people who want to manage their communications and work on business documents without worrying about the phone data being compromised. Not some teenage girl who wants a phone that comes with a bright green case out of the box who's main concern is facebook and syncing their latest downloads from itunes to their phone.

I've had mine for about 2 months and of all the phones I've ever owned (including LG L5, Samsung S3, HTC) it has the least glare and the best contrast in bright light of them all. The only one is close to it was my HTC.

I have played around with the device and it looks very solid. it's basically the same as the Z10, but runs BB 10.2 perhaps even 10.3 at the end of the year. As idicated in the article the screen has the same resolution, but it seems brighter. the device was packed with apps, but I could not feel any lagging at all, very smooth. i was quite impressed with the number of apps and there were also a number of not earlier seen ported Android apps. Anyway, I look forward to the real one.

Wow... 5" BB10? Interesting... Give the Notes and the other 5"s a bit of competition... Had a turn at fiddling with a Q10 and I must say, FLUID AF! The only problem I can see here is apps. Why doesn't BB incorporate the ability to get Android apps? I know people can sideload them... It would definitely make them more appealing to those that scream 'Lack of Apps'...

There might be 6 major apps on the market and the rest are superfluous or games. Frankly this ranting about apps is far over rated. What is the point of spending your life trying to find something useful from the all the Apps on the market when in fact you dont need them in any case for 99% of your daily uses. Android or Apple with a so called large Apps market means absolutely nothing to me and does not influence the decision to buy a new mobile. Security and functionality does. Whilst Android is a great product it leaks like a sieve (see all the recent publicity), which is why we use Blackberry Z10's and they are just fine for what we do. App's and games? Hell, go and get a life man.
