Spotify gains rudimentary two-factor authentication support

You can't turn it on or off, and there's only one option for how it works.

I received 2 emails from Spotify telling me that I was signed in to my account using my Gmail account in Yemen and in Japan. I don't live anywhere near those countries. I checked my security settings and there was nothing about it anywhere.

I have never used or signed into Spotify. I don't even have an account...

        Well good for Spotify. They've got snug money to purchase a right wing mouthpiece to the tune of 100 million but apparently needed more time to scrape together enough money for dev hours to do implement the most rudimentary mfa they could. Good job Spotify. Maybe if you replace the remaining rows if music in my home feed with even more podcasts and audiobooks you'll finally be the prefect music streaming service.

              this isnt true, i have spotify on my authenticator app and it works wonders
