display protection is king kong rhinoceros? LMAOOOO
That aside tho, looks like a cool phone, feel like it slots somewhere between the X Fold3 Pro and the X Fold3, in terms of both camera hardware and stuff. Honor's phone is for those who are fine with an ok camera but want a more slab phone feeling phone and Vivo's one is for those who want a great phone overall due to the cameras being basically on par with something like the S24 Ultra.
Curious to see how the Mix Fold 4 and the Find N4 stack up, foldables are looking great!
It's crazy that Google hasn't gone back to foldables lmao and Samsung has just started fall behind like their fold6 has hardware that's closer to the X Fold3 but can't match the X Fold3 Pro's thickness and weight, YIKES. An in built stylus would fix most thickness and heft complaints but they don't even have that lol

"The latter combined with the dual SIM support allows you to split the main display and essentially have two separate phones with their own apps and profiles."
Wait, this would be quite neat, like having 2 phones side by side.

Several complaints:
1) The selfie cameras need to be better. I've already suggested using a Samsung ISOCELL JN1 sensor for both of them in another comment, and this is something that annoys me with other foldables too, because there will be times where you can't use the main sensor for selfies.
2) I couldn't care less about the 9.2mm thickness. Just keep it at 9.9mm, and use a much larger silicon-carbon battery here. A 5,700mAh battery like the Vivo X Fold3 Pro's one or better would work out here just fine, and 80W wired charging is necessary to have on a phone this expensive — 66W at this price point is just not good enough.
3) For consistency's sake, the ultrawide should've been a 50MP sensor. A Sony IMX858 would've done just fine here (because you know space and all).
4) At this point, I'm sick and tired of not seeing under-display fingerprint sensors on foldables. If Vivo can put two very high quality ultrasonic fingerprint sensors under the two displays and can keep a respectably (if not record-breaking) thin profile, then so can anyone else. Again, if space is an issue here, then stop trying to make your product thinner when it's folded, because no one needs a phone that thin when it's going to come with battery life concerns and prevent you from putting larger camera sensors. Plus, a 9.9mm phone is not uncomfortable to hold by any means anyway.
5) That 3.5× telephoto with the periscope-style lens should've had a brighter aperture. f/3.0 is too dim, it needs to be f/2.8 at the very least and preferably f/2.6 or even lower. Also, I want to see macro support on this, which I have no idea whether they'll do or not.
6) Since the Honor Magic6, Honor Magic6 Pro, Honor Magic6 RSR Porsche Design and Honor Magic6 Ultimate all have ToF 3D sensors inside their selfie cutout, I would like to see this on this phone as well. It doesn't even have to be there on the inner selfie cutout (though I personally wouldn't object to that either), but it should at least be there on the outer one. Also, the inner selfie camera should be place on the top right corner instead of its weird current position.

Anonymous, 12 Jul 2024Who buys all these foldables ? I am honestly very curious t... morePeople who think having expensive things make them "better" then the rest of us
Same with any other product, thats why you have "luxury" brands. Its all just bs, poor value for money
but hey, people are dumb and easily manipulated, thats why we have marketing

Anonymous, 12 Jul 2024Who buys all these foldables ? I am honestly very curious t... moreI will definitely buy the Magic V3. Is great. I originally wanted to buy a Samsung Fold 6, but Samsung disappointed, it lacks innovation and has no idea what the user experience is about. He wants a lot of money for little music. Fold6 is inefficient, it has a smaller cover display without the possibility of using a pen, a smaller internal display, weak photos. Magic V3 is a BETTER MOBILE in every way. There is nothing to deal with, I am buying Magic V3.

Anonymous, 12 Jul 2024Who buys all these foldables ? I am honestly very curious t... moreMany people here, especially those rich businessman, prefer Samsung over iPhone as their daily driver, and some of them prefer the foldables one, though. Also I've seen some girls use the flip one here.

Impressive hardware, regular phone basically, around same thickness and weight as the S Ultra from Samsung and smaller in size when folded. With stylus support/digitizer on the outer display too and regular screen ratio. Perfect!

Anonymous, 12 Jul 2024Who buys all these foldables ? I am honestly very curious t... moreIn Germany you will see a lot of flips and folds, all of them from Samsung. It doesn't matter how good the hardware is, at the end of the day people choose the brands they trust are reliable and have more support in case of damage. Honor has 0 support in Europe. Also the software on Samsung's foldables is years ahead of Honor's and that counts as well

Just as i predicted, z fold 6 will look like it's 2 generations behind the Magic v3.
I feel disgusted by the trash Samsung shoves down customers' throat for 2000 euros

The two selfie cameras should've used a Samsung ISOCELL JN1 sensor. None of this 20MP crap that produces 5MP images, because that is not flagship by *ANY* means.
