Samsung Galaxy Z Fold Slim's cover screen to have the same aspect ratio as the Galaxy S24 Ultra

22 July 2024
The next Samsung foldable will be even more expensive, but also thinner and lighter than the Fold6.

My Huawei mate xs is more premium than my 15 pro max and that's fact.... Apple lost their premiumness with the iPhone 15 series.

Increased price doesnt matter because you are not forced to buy any of them.

Not to mention you can buy separate flagship phone + flagship tablet (with bigger display) for a price of flagship foldables.

Also, speaking of flagship device, you could still buy alternative midrange phone + midrange tablet for a price of one flagship phone and you can still living your life normally.

Expensive devices are purely targetted for someone who willing to spend big money for whatever reasons.

They forgot to put another one camera + Stylus inside the phone + 200 MP main camera with 100x zoom and it will be a Samsung Galaxy S24 Fold Ultra

This is a good news. I've been always saying that other manufacturers' foldable tablets hold a prominent advantage over Samsung's Fold when they are used as a phone, due to their closer-to-conventional aspect ratios.

Some crowns belittled me for making this claim, suggesting that its usability as a tablet would be far more important than as a phone, or a taller screen is somehow better because it's easier to hold (ignoring that it would be a lot harder to type anything on it), or whatever. I'm so glad to know that these people can finally f*** the right off lol.

That or when a government strong arms you for conteol and frontal BUG amounts of cash in the name of sovereignty to show up the world. Ita somewhat work too - yet they're (Chinese competitors in this market segment) are rapidly reaching a saturation threshold. When that occurs then churn rates from manufacturer: manufacturer therein begins to jump every calendar quarter - and they'll all begin to really feel the crushing negative affect that brings.

You can keep thinking that foldables are not premium all you want. What do YOU call premium in ANY smartphone today?! U seem to contradict yourself.. not premium and praise the Chinese competition yet the competition has begun using strong Carbon-Fibre for under display (1) and frame rigidity (another competitor to Samung based in greater China or abroad. That seems VERY premium to me as a hardened magnesium alloy or flakes of carbon within during molding and compression would've sold the same 2 use cases at similar weight savings (barely any weight in rease less than 10g and a LOT cheaper cost!

              I see thru your fascade

At this point I started to think that it's 100% possible for Z Fold 10 to be priced at $4000.
Foldable phone production costs are getting cheaper nowadays, yet they keep making the price high because those corps really want us to keep thinking that foldables are "premium" (similar to iPhone).

And samsung was supposed to launch “affordable “foldable smh

Still No camera Upgrade, still No S-Pen support or silo, still tiny battery from 3 years ago, no faster charging; too little too late Samsung.
Congratulations from First to LAST on the hardware and design specs, squandering your pioneering leads in the foldable space; every other major Foldables are still better than this with camearas, larger batteries, thinner designs, lighter, faster charging while Samsung continues to try to fool people with tiny upgrades 1 year at a time & had been doing so last 3 years .....going to 4th year now lol.
Did they really think people are that stupid, 40% down presales figure for Fold4 to 5 and drop another 11% to Fold 6 in Korea, got to had it to them for trying so hard to kill all their Foldable sales to Zilch. Their only saving grace was software but it will only do so much when hardware is ancient in comparison (other than the Chipset, all had the same SD). I'm so fed up with waiting for Samsung I am just getting ether a Xiaomi, OnePlus or Honor Magic v3 whichever is first to release globally.
Goodbye Samsung, thanks for pisxxing of all your loyal customer!

more expensive? they're really playing a game here to see how much they can charge until no one buys their crap.

It's definitely going to cost 2500 at least!! 😄

I do like the titanium frame though.

Fans: It's too expensive. We want it to be just like an S24U that folds.
Samsung: Say no more! It looks like an S24U.
                          Fans: And the price?
                          Samsung: ↗↗↗

Now THIS should've been the Fold6 from the get-go.

Anonymous, 22 Jul 2024Should have been 20:9Should have been either 18:9 or 18.5:9 but I’m ok with iPHONE SCREEN(19.5:9) ratio as it’s much wider than the the regular Z Fold

$1900 for the regular fold6 so that means for the larger screen and better made device(the fact that Samsung has to cheap out on their highest end devices like APPLE is crazy to me) with a bigger battery, it’s gonna be easily $2000+.

Vs Vivo X Fold 3 that doesn’t have a 19.5:9 ratio screen but just as big external and internal screen, under display fingerprint on both screens, MUCH BETTER camera and bigger battery, MUCH faster wired and wireless’s charging, AND IR Blaster while being cheaper and now available internationally. The Silm didn’t shake up a damn thing.

honor for ex is much thiner while packing a larger battery and has better cams too, samsung has one, if not the worst foldable phone on the market right now, 6 generations and that could have been packed into 2-3

PepperPot, 22 Jul 2024This is way too big, but Samsung is getting their backside ... moreI thought Samsung had no presence in China! since it is a brand very allied with the gringos

This is way too big, but Samsung is getting their backside handed to them in China, so I understand they had to make a change to compete. I just hope this is not a preview of the Z7.

There is only one disadvantage compared to regular fold 6 - apparently, no s-pen support.
That's a big dealbreaker, especially given the ginormous 8˝ screen estate.

Seems like we'll have to wait till 8th or even 10th fold generation for Samsung to tick all the boxes (ip58,5000+mah battery,65w charging, periscope cam, macro mode, s-pen support on both screens).
