No word on PWM yet. Google has never made PWM a priority so I doubt anything will change this year. It's a shame because they would get thousands of customers on that spec alone.

Player 3, 23 Jul 2024They look cool, but Google should make the interface of And... more...and by 'modern', for the love of god, NOT pastels and clouds and squiggles and shadows and playfulness. 🤢 Corners do not need to be round, believe it or not! 🤢 Colors do not need to be derived from the background image (and some people don't like accent colors at all) 🤢 Basic configuration (Bluetooth, Wi-Fi) shouldn't need more than about 3 taps 🤢 The home screen widgets should actually do what they advertise. (A two-unit-wide, any-height Weather widget will ONLY show the current time. Who at Google shipped that garbage??) 🤢 What is with uni-color app icons? 🤢 Gmail checkboxes shouldn't be nested inside of the list of emails (if you miss by a millimeter, you open the message you were trying to bulk select) 🤢 Beyond that, some Google apps still don't adhere 100% to Material Design 3 guidelines.
Apple is always going to make better Apple-like hardware and OSes than Google. Google should stop trying to copy every step of Apple's design... even if (and especially if) most of the Google "designers" own an iPhone. Instead of whimsy, go with utility. Rather than animation for the sake of animation or color for the sake of color, go with less error-prone navigation/selection or less empty/wasted space. (Calendar: My widget is 35 mm tall, why is "July" in its own box that is 12 mm tall? One-third of this widget tells me what month it is. That feature is utterly useless.)

Well, this iphone inspired design is ugly for the Pixel series lol. The curves suits them much better IMO. For example, flat design suits Nubia/RedMagic devices same with Samsung Galaxy S Ultra series. But this one is meh lol

Slowly google is doing good according to user requirement. Vanilla model (Pixel 9), additional camera (Pixel 9 Pro), additional camera and large battery (Pixel 9 Pro XL) and exiting Samsung foundry for processors.
But price should be competitive.
