The only way I'm getting this phone is if...

1) they offer a good trade for my P8P

2) they have a better gift than 1 year of free Gemini (Buds Pro? Watch 3?)

Otherwise, this is an easy pass

    The Exynos chip could be a big problem ngl. My Pixel 7 overheats and I have actually lost multiple videos due to this while recording on a hot summer afternoon. The performance is not bad but it is not anything to write home about either, especially if I am trying to play games. The 9 is going to be 2 generations newer but I wonder if these characteristics would be resolved.

      I have been waiting for many, many years for such a small phone with flagship camera. The design is excellent with this end to end camera bump - I love the symmetrical back. No whooping on the table like...everything else. But that Exynos CPU make me really really scared. Will see...

          One day we'll get a flagship phone without a giant camera bump again. I wish Google would take a stab at what the Nokia 9 Pureview did using lots of smaller censors and computational photography to make good photos instead of having a big bump.

                    I am kinda devastated with the price increase. I have a pixel 7 pro and it has encoder decoder issues and makes video play back stutter. I was hoping to dishout for the 9 pro but I am gonna wait for the 10 because it will use a more efficient chip.

                      Honestly, I like the option "Rose" but I really despise the path Google follows since P6P, specially the notorious Tensynos!

                        Cpt.Power, 27 Jul 2024Yes thats correct but when battery gets hot or too hot your... moreUsing edge 40( not pro ) ...worst battery life ever with only 3 hours of backup and heats up pretty quickly at any temperature...the idle battery drain at night is more than 10% ( I sleep usually at 11pm and then wake up at 5am ) , the phone heats up within 5 minutes and automatically slows down charging because of high temperatures

                          Black and whit are dull as.....boring
                          Hazel meh same faith
                          Rose is for margin of users
                          The basic 9 has more appealing colours

                            Lee 8V88, 26 Jul 2024Faster charging will generate more heat because it uses a h... moreYes thats correct but when battery gets hot or too hot your phone will be already at 80% and the charging proces wil slow a little to cooldown the heat.
                            Usig Motorlola edge 40 pro for a year with only 120W charging speeds had zero issues with battery. And i am still at 94% capacity.
                            After a year of use any phone google pixel, iphones etc will be at 94% capacity unless you use your phone only for calls and text and charge it only like 2-3 times a week.

                                    It's the same principle as an EV on a micro scale.
