The concept of user-repairable phones is gaining popularity, but it comes with certain downsides - price, for one, but also there's the question of software support.

I think build materials also deserve some mention apart from the on-paper spec sheet. Some phones are milled out of metal and are supposed to be sold at a higher asking price. Similarly, some are made from plastic and obvious the cheaper construction can be sold at slightly lesser price. Only with a full detailed comparison should the price be talked about.
