I love how everyone is bashing the original 2a. They're forgetting with a larger chipset comes a smaller battery. And the fact that the plus also doesn't have wireless charging is a big factor. The original 2a is amazing but the only think it's missing is the wireless charging. That's all. Mine the Oceana variant is quiet fast, faster and more reliable than my old Samsung galaxy a35.

Ok maybe some people would live with that. What about the slowest fingerprint sensor the most annoying thing at a proud price. That phone is a scam

I'm confused as to why this exists I assumed it was going to be a physically larger version of the 2a with a larger battery and same specs. However it seems to be just a souped up version with a slightly better CPU and camera with the same size battery and a higher price likely being priced too close to the Nothing Phone 2. A bigger screen and battery was the only upgrade really warranted.

Carl Pei said that he doesn't want to release a slightly updated phone every year, so they may release a premium (flagship) device only every two years. Hopefully then with the Dimensity 8400 that will make it the bang for the buck.

If they add Aluminum chassis to the body like samsung a55 5g and Micro Sd card support I might consider. But with the same body like the previous one and not supporting micro sd card and Aluminum body. Samsung A55 is still better

Tech Guy, 30 Jul 2024Like I said it's true that Nothing Phone 2a Plus is ac... morereally chief? the 870? that chip is effectively four and a half years old (the 870 is an OC of the 865 which launched in 2019), and although it holds up well enough performance wise, it doesn't efficiency wise. They'd be much better off with a Dimensity 8200 or a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3, but those would likely cost more than this chip. the 870 was excellent when it came out because it wasn't too expensive but it was very fast for a midrange phone, but we've moved on.

Also, most of these big tech youtubers like the mmkbhd or whatever that is, JerryRigEverything or Mr who's he boss, don't bother with cheap phones at all. I doubt you anyone could think of 4-5 phones in the same price range as CMF or even nothing 2a. The first one has a video about a Motorola phone, and it doesn't feels like a review at all, more like "Damn, you could get phone this cheap".
Local youtubers are exceptions, atleast in my country but I can't get past their exaggerated expressions in the thumbnail

Like I said it's true that Nothing Phone 2a Plus is actually getting 7350. But it's even better, it's 7350 Pro Folks. ("Ha.. Fake Excitement! Hiding Real Pain of not including SD 870 )
